Sounds on an alien planet. Mars

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I always wondered what type of sounds are heard if you were off earth and standing on another planet or moon that has an atmosphere that can carry soundwaves.

Amazing!

Wow. It's kind of chilling to imagine sitting there on Mars, all alone, hearing wind on a strange planet. Talk about a confrontation with the Void! :)

It comes to mind something plain as a wind or breeze on how it acts under different pressures, gasses, etc. How wind would act.

It would be exciting and a bit chilling if another sound gets picked up that stokes the imagination and perhaps a bit of fear. Maybe a boom or something that sounds artificial like metal noises in the distance out of sight.

Which then turns out to be another droid from another planet checking out Mars at the same time. I think that would surpass any of our highest hopes of finding traces of alien life in the galaxy, and possibly our worst nightmares too.

But given a few years, it will have an amazing amusement park for rich earthlings.

If we're probing with tech then it stands to reason there might be a lot of equipment out there somewhere as well doing the same thing.

The only barrier I see is the insane and incredible distancing involved that would test even the most advanced life in bringing about a crossing of paths with their tech and ours.

Still I think its only a matter of time, and right now, even finding fossils of alien microbes long extinct would be an astounding find.
