Christians and Q

So does the New Testament give any idea of where they are today?
It would be fascinating to study someone who has been alive for 2000 years.

It's not about being alive for 2000 years, it's about God speaking with individuals of our past telling them about humans to come, which is how humans of our past wrote about individuals to come.

My guess is they go incognito so people don't try to kill them and because it would bring people to believe in Christianity superstitiously.

One is alive today. The one christ said God would send in his name to teach the truth of all things, to bring to your remembrance the things he said.

is that you written about in the scriptures that christ warned humanity about to come in his name?
Are you talking about John the Revelator?

...sure. Please be aware that around here, you need to state your beliefs as opinions, not as "The Truth."
As long as you capitalize "Truth" and/or add the ™ sign, you can say what you want as that has become in indicator for religious Truth™, i.e. **** you made up or got from a book who's author made it up.

What is more effective is reaching them at a human level - interacting with them with empathy, compassion, and meeting their needs for support, community, and so on.
And ridicule, lots of ridicule, telling them on the emotional level that they left the community of rational people.

Don't interpret the Second Coming with the life time of his Disciples. Paul
himself spoke of when this event will happen. So too did John in Revelations.
Makes no sense to send the Messiah out to the Gentiles, then cut short the
ministry because it's all over.
Makes perfect sense if He was just an ordinary human and not anyone's Messiah.

umm, i don't go around incognito. also don't worry about people trying to kill me. also i'm not a christian. I am a human with a proper understanding of wisdom. I am an atheist, the same as God is. I cause the tribulation which brings all of islam, judaism, and christianity altogether to an end.

wanna know something about God or the scriptures, i am the human to ask. Rev 19, the one called faithful and true who's name is called the word of God. that's me. Only an atheist could ever be one with the intellect to ever come to know God. believers are institutionally indoctrinated, tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine by the sleight of man, spiritual drunkards, every single one of them.

non-tangibles such as knowledge, and truth, and logic are what certain of the ancients called spiritual things.

the spirit of truth and the spirit of error, aka logic and fallacy.

to understand the scientific method without error is what it means to have the spirit without measure.

the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in us, that walk not after the stories people tell, but after the universally immutable objects of knowledge, and truth, and logic discerned according to the scientific method.

as we have life forms that live within us, so also do we live within a life form.

fact is, the whole of the natural universe infinite in all directions that we live within just so happens to be the natural eternal infinite body of a life form, a sentient being of certainty of purely objective thought. that's God. that simple. the word God is nothing but a name. no meaning is inferred nor implied.

as God is a being of purely objective thought and a human is a life form capable of understanding purely objective thought, it is not robbery to be equal to God.

God's thoughts are not my thoughts, but we do think alike.

as God is eternal and i am born to die, God's ways are not my ways, but we both are alive.

as the whole of the natural universe infinite in all directions is God's body and i am puny human, God is greater than i am.

all beings are natural beings, God included.

the act of mother nature that animates matter, which is called the holy spirit, is what God calls his glory.

the reason it is written that none fulfill the glory of God, is due to the fact that without the act of mother nature that animates matter, without the holy spirit, not even God would be alive.

if a human does not understand wisdom, you can be certain that individual does not know God.

it is wise to properly separate things known, things unknown, and opinion, and to hold belief and emotion as irrelevant altogether. it is to be a fool to mix them.

That's nice. God gave you a brain. It doesn't mean theists can not get to heaven .

This country is being torn apart by people who believe in the Q Conspiracy Theories. More important to many on RF, Christianity is being torn apart by people who believe in the Q Conspiracy Theories.

QAnon: The alternative religion that’s coming to your church

QAnon: The alternative religion that’s coming to your church
Teaching susceptible Christians media literacy won’t counteract their sudden, widespread adherence to conspiracy theories because these Christians thrive on a narrative of media cover-up.

(RNS) — It’s a rough time to be a pastor. An election year, national racial unrest and a global pandemic each challenged the usual methods of ministry. Taken together, many church leaders are facing the traditional post-vacation ingathering season with a serious case of burnout.

But there’s another challenge that pastors I spoke with say is on the rise in their flocks. It is taking on the power of a new religion that’s dividing churches and hurting Christian witness.

Mark Fugitt, senior pastor of Round Grove Baptist Church in Miller, Missouri, recently sat down to count the conspiracy theories that people in his church are sharing on Facebook. The list was long. It included claims that 5G radio waves are used for mind control; that George Floyd’s murder is a hoax; that Bill Gates is related to the devil; that masks can kill you; that the germ theory isn’t real; and that there might be something to Pizzagate after all.

“You don’t just see it once,” said Fugitt. “If there’s ever anything posted, you’ll see it five to 10 times. It’s escalating for sure.”

Q kind of shocked me. I expected a different thing. Now I realise this is something absolutely different and I have no idea about it.

Yet, very interesting topic for me to follow and understand. Whats going on?? :)

Well, here's the Problem. Jesus wasn't an 'ordinary human' - for starters he is the
most famous man in history, without inventing, killing or conquering anyone.
Jacob in Egypt Bronze Age spoke of the Hebrews having their own nation but it
would end with the Messiah coming, and he would be not for the Jews as much
as the whole world.
Job early Iron Age said the Messiah was already alive and one day would 'stand
upon the earth.'
Zechariah said the Jews would mourn when they see their Messiah King as being
the same lowly man they crucified. And Daniel said the Romans would 'cut off' the
Messiah when they destroyed Israel - but the Messiah would die for his people,
not himself.

I think it is the Christian duty of these pastors (it's never priests, I notice) to stress the importance of truth to their flocks and disabuse them of this nonsense.

I am sure many of them will do just that, as the pastor referred to in this piece seems to be thinking.
