Frustrated already -download issues

All yesterday evening and this morning I've been trying to figure how to get downloading to work on my new computer. It says there is networking issues. All the updates are set and since it's a new computer, the defaults are set. I cut off my antivirus and went to internet settings to allow downloads.

Am I missing something?

I am still currently searching online, youtube, so have you.

That sounds weird, can you go on the internet on it at all? because even when you browse you are actually downloading, so it should make no difference, whether its a file or just that.

- If it's completely dead you can go to the control panel -> device manager and see if the netadapter is showing up without errors.

- Otherwise you can check if its disabled in the BIOS (which would be strange)

- check cables, router etc. to make sure that it is correctly connected.

- Might be broken.

I'm talking with my phone company since they seem to keep having signal issues in the tower. Plus, I do a lot on the computer, so it uses up my data quickly and goes slow.

I know the security updates and checks show no errors but I don't know what a netadapter is

It shouldnt be broken. It works perfectly on my old laptop but then I used my phone data now both don't work.

Does your new computer have Wi-Fi functionality?

Let me try to understand the problem first: What exactly happens when you try to download something? Can you upload a screenshot?

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

That's why you should never give female names to objects.

Come to think of it, male names as well.... *grin*

Like aforementioned, probably should look at Bios first or get yourself an IT person to look at it.

It was the network speed. I ran out of data so it was too slow to download. I had to upgrade. So, I upgraded to download my programs then downgrade so I don't have to spend money on what I don't need. Just found this out on the phone with them.
