I can never remember what generation I'm considered to be. I think I'm an in-betweener of two generations or something like that. Anyhow, I use that quite a lot.
Besides, who takes the time to write this nonsense?
I'm one year older than the Boomers but still call myself one.

"Generation" is hardly any better than a horoscope. I was considered one generation growing up, had people consider me another over the last decade, and more recently I learned of this inbetween X and Millennial (although I have to admit that one did describe me a bit). But with that one many others who were previously considered X would now be considered an inbetweener.
So it's all silly, absurd, nonsense.

***MOD POST***

Folks - this is this joke forum. The thread is intended to be light-hearted. Frivolous. Fun. As my mother would say, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Please post with that in mind.

Am I the only one who read the title and thought of the book series A Series Of Unfortunate Events by Snicket?

So does this thread OP mean I need to try and figure out emoji hieroglyphs to reply to this, or do I use regular, plain, real people English again to reply?

How do you know my post wasn't a joke that you just didn't get? It wasn't, of course, but so much for maintaining any semblance of "light-heartedness." Hahaha... now this IS funny.

FYI, our future nursing home caretakers do not find this cool:

:tearsofjoy:

This hurts me on a spiritual level.

If you use this emoji, Gen Z will call you old - CNN

Looks like the culture war between us ancient millennials and those upstart zoomers is on. Millennials of the world unite.

I heard this as well, that we're out of touch now because we're still emotionally attached to our venerable 'tears of laughter' emoji. If you want to express laughter or joy without being called an old fuddy-duddy these days, its now got to be the nonsensical 'word-gruel' that is Sjkalfjksjfkdsjal, or some other random screed of letters. Ugghh.

But don't listen to me, I'm just a cantankerous old late 20s dude who will cut these young'uns off with two words: "ok zoomer".
