I'm surprised Arizona had such a low ranking. I would have thought we'd be near the top of the list. Even New York is more seditionist than we are. Even more than Idaho.

Arizona only has one arrest related to this incident as of January 26. Population is 7,520,100.

Its a fun question though arrests and searches are ongoing, so it may be too soon to say. Also you can see in the data that proximity to DC is going to be the largest factor or one of the largest factors.

In fairness, the Capitol riots are not the only seditious conduct by which to rate states. There is a movement of lefties here in California who would like to see us secede from the US.

When they storm the state Capitol and threaten the lives of state politicians, that would be a more appropriate time to play the 'whatabout' card.

Kentucky is third. Tennessee fifth. Arkansas seventh. Iowa and Texas are ninth and tenth respectively. These aren't really that close to DC.

Yeah, so there is some secondary factor; and that will be probably that they are Republican states. The thirst largest factor will be the most interesting. I think crunching this data will tell you something about how radical people are in a given state. I have always thought of Arkansas as being very radical no matter which group we're talking about. I think they are just very extreme there. I don't know if I'm right, but my experience leads me not to be surprised about Arkansas position on the list. I think they like to argue there. Am I just talking nonsense? I don't know. I think its interesting data.

What an absurd exercise. Exactly what "Value" is there in this calculation? What, exactly is the "sedition scale" and how has it been validated? Who created it?

And so on.

I gave links to the data. The scale is a rank of number of seditionists charged and their state of residence that I created using that data. As for purpose? Well, just for kicks.

I would say Kentucky and Tennessee are still within a day's drive to Washington DC. Arkansas, Iowa, Texas, and other states W. of the Mississippi would take more than a day.
