Clean our own path

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
I have spent time thinking about how i act and speak to others. And i realized that even I try not to tell others what is right or wrong anymore, i keep doing it time and time again.

Would it not be better to clean our own path/ removing our own errors before telling others what they should do

Feedback from others is essential for improvements. If everyone stops giving feedback trying to correct themselves first, the effect would be bad I believe.

Feedback is good within each teaching, or school:) but as a muslims, i should not tell a hindu or an atheist how to live according to islam. I would have to use their one teaching to explain, so hindu teaching would be needed for explaining for a hindu, or science to explain for an atheist.

I'm not sure how much tidying my path needs. But I always allow room for improvement.

I find it productive before offering advice to have a thorough understanding why another does what they do or believes what they believe.

Question everything. Then shut up and listen.

I agree with you on this. As a muslim i can disagree with a lot of what you say in RF, but if i can not back up my own belief or claims, i better stay silent

Even better, change the "if i can not back up my own belief or claims" to "if it doesn't affect me or others." ;)

Then you would be an expert in their belief or religions first?
Or outside of religion, guidance is of course good if it is done to help them.
You can offer it with the best intentions, yet it is their choice to accept what you offer. If you leave a signpost to help others, it is still their choice to follow its direction.

Do you feel I cannot back what I say?
You do back up more or less everything you say. Based on a belief that there is no God or Gods. You often use scientific evidence, or your own knowledge about a world without God.
I dont find that to be wrong way of you to answer.

Basically so, though I don't use the
word "belief" for myself in the context of that
which is with or without evidence.

I don't give much thought to things
that have no physical evidence,
especially if "belief "also requires "willing
suspensionof disbelief " for
something thatrequires magic, orsuspension of
the known principles of physics.

Levitation, say, or miracle medical cures.
Or, of course, gods, anything supernatural.

I'd guess you'd join me in not accepting
such silliness as astrology as being valid

Bigfoot is extremely improbable but not
outside what could have been. (China had
an ape that would have qualified!)

Anyway, I like evidence, not belief.

Astrology is outside of my belief too. But i dont know enough about it to say it is false.
Bigfoot might be real, but i am not sure.

How can I then believe in an "invisible" God? Because it is a belief that something greater than human beings do exist.
Can i prove to you that God truly exist? Nope i can't.

Bigfoot might becreal, but it would
be an incredible feat for such a big
creature to elude hunters for this long.

Astrology appears to need magic-

I easily accept that there could be
"Something greater ".. just, no evidence.

But if one did somehow detect it, sort of
like how gravity waves were discovered,
then what?

What, if anything is a suitable response to
learning there is a god, about which you
know nothing?

Grow long fingernails? Sing? Burn witches .
Put up majestic buildings?

I sure would not trust in anyone claiming
he got a special message and has knowledge
of said god.

That trick has been pulled millions of
times, for thousands of years.
