Durga Kavach - seeking your help

I've been asked to read Durga Kavach daily by an astrologer. Until now, I was reading this:

But today I discovered another version here:

Even on YouTube, there is confusion. Please let me know which version is correct, as it is very important that I read it correctly. Thank you in advance.

What did the astrologer recommend?
Generally there is no 'correct versions of such things. There are only different versions. So two people might both insist their version is correct, neither speaking with authority. For example, there are several versions of all the various astottarams (lists of 108 names of any of the main deities). Some folks will get adamant that the version they use is correct, but that's just their personal bias talking.

This is the standard stotra commonly known as Durga Kavach or Devi KAvach which is one of the trio Devi Kavach, Argala Stotra and Keelaka.

Especially if a jyotishi recommended you study / read it daily - then this is it.

I am not sure how common it is, and whether it is related to one's graha or birth nakshatra etc. Must be , if the one recommending it is an astrologer - since they work off of kundali.

I do not pay attention to astrology.

What I can say, however, is that Durga Kavach is recommended for protection , for those individuals who are
(i) in a situation that deems it urgent or mandatory for their well being
(ii) who are not assertive or strong enough to stand up for themselves, and let others abuse them
(iii} who are sensitive and very caring and always put others before themselves

Such individuals need Devi Durga's intervention as they are too busy to protect themselves. Typically their birth nakshatra (e.g. mULa nakshatra) also governs their svabhAv or nature, that is where the astrologer comes in perhaps.

Read it daily at around the same time, and understand the meaning. You will have it in memory within no time and will not need the reference book, so can recite it anywhere you are, say you are traveling.
