On Wednesday President Biden issued an Executive Order requiring all person on Federal property to wear a mask. Later on the very same day he went to the Lincoln Memorial, which is Federal property and did not wear a mask.


On the same visit his grandchildren who were with him posed without masks.

I wonder. I know when I go to the skating rink, they take our temperature. So, we don't have to wear masks when exercise (in VA). I wonder if Biden and grandchildren had their temperature taken or got the vaccine (I think he did?) to where he felt he's not in danger to others. Guessing.

Isn't the Lincoln memorial an open air site? The mask mandate is for federal buildings not any and all sort of federal property like parks for example (unless its inside an nature interpretation building for example). You don't have to wear a mask outside as risks of contamination in open air environment are very low.

It's so obvious the right has every intention of heeding their own sanctimonious calls for unity and healing. Yet a day after the inauguration and we're right back in the Obama years tut tutting about every little trivial thing. Dijon mustard deja vu.

I'm about as far from a saint as the cashier in a whorehouse with a thriving under-the-counter business in hand jobs, but even I am at least sending my thoughts and prayers to America these days. Crazy times when that's arguably rising above certain right wing media outlets to set an ennobling example.

I'm all for fair and honest criticism of ideas and egregious behavior, but this habit of jumping on every opportunity there is to conduct sneaky petite character assassination is annoying.

A face mask? This whole "let's unite to fight what's been killing us all and get the economy moving" thingy can be sunk by an issue over a face mask?

Tell me where in all of that you see us moving forward as a nation to face the real dangers confronting us?

Don't know about you, but I expected nothing else from certain sorts.
The some on the Right go on, you'd think Biden won because we actually like the guy. He just happened to be running against a heavyweight contender for worst president ever.

If no one is around, or risk of transmission is very low, I don't even wear a mask (and I'm one of those people who will call others out for not wearing one or getting to close).
