Two Questions...

I got two questions...

1) Have you read or heard anyone on the right offer a sincere apology in public or in private for anything -- anything at all -- that they had done, and that they thought had contributed to the insurrection?

2) Have you read or heard anyone on the right call for 'letting bygones be bygones', 'restraint', 'moving on', or forgiveness, in order to promote national unity, bringing us all together, peace, etc.?

FUN BIT OF TRIVIA: The F.B.I. has been called upon by the Secret Service (which is heading up security for the inauguration) to vet all 25,000 National Guard Troops that have been deployed to Washington in order to purge from their ranks any who are found to be security risks. In addition, the Secret Service is saying their number one priority now is to uncover and eliminate threats from terrorists embedded within the Government.

In short, they seem on top of it, just like they should be.

1. Yes but from what I can see, it's related to criminal charges or potential charges.

2. Comrade, did you get the memo from the Ministry of Propaganda? All party members are to speak glowingly of national unity and the avoidance of criminal trials for those who we know are guilty.

1. Well I saw the drummer from System of a Down publicly disavow the riot. Does that count?
2. Ehh, not American so wouldn’t know

Word choices are interesting. Americans take themselves on a tour of the Capital Building, which they own, and somehow the nation was in danger. Our cities burned for nearly a year and they were "peaceful protests."

We have only watched the media and democrats divide our nation for the last four years, how is it the responsibility of the "Right" to mend our nation? I think it would be funny if we could somehow force the permanent deployment of US Troops in DC. :D

Normal people would offer a sincere apology. I did not hear it yet ... there are normal people in US, so for sure it will come soon, many, right?

I am from Holland, that might be the reason that I missed out on all the apologies

Cool! Have you noticed any pullback or reduction in the fear and hatred poured on the left by right wing media in recent days?

No.

I think Rick Santorum on CNN said something to this effect.

I suppose chants of "Hang Pence" were just uttered in jest. I suppose cries of "Where's Pelosi" were just people wanting to do a meet and greet. I suppose almost crushing a cop to death was just the crowd trying to hug him. I suppose an angry mob breaking down doors and windows and breaking furniture is ****ting in the capitol is your definition of "a tour".

Our cities burned for nearly a year and they were "peaceful protests."
Which cities burned for nearly a year? Do you get all your information from OAN?

Not necessarily an apology... but rather a condemning of the forced entry of the Capitol. Not sure why I would have to apologize for what I don't subscribe to. I think condemning is a good enough position.

2) Have you read or heard anyone on the right call for 'letting bygones be bygones', 'restraint', 'moving on', or forgiveness, in order to promote national unity, bringing us all together, peace, etc.?

Absolutely!! I said that once Biden is inaugurated, he then becomes my president. I would pray for him just as I did for Obama and for Trump.

Other than that, you will find the following as just snippets:

"Our country is not just divided. We are deeply hurt. The task ahead for the next Congress and incoming Biden Administration couldn't be more momentous. But to deliver a better America for all, partisans of all stripes first must unite as Americans and show our country that a peaceful transfer of power has occurred." House minority Leader McCarthy

Of course, unity is in reference to helping the people of the United States and no uniformity in thinking.

No. Somehow the apologies that are there seem to be about what largely unspecified others did.

The ten Republicans who voted for impeachment in the House might qualify by their deeds. Some or all may have backed them by words, but I can't recall any particulars off-hand.

Oh, and Mitt Romney has acted on principle instead of party line more than once, and I think there may be a couple more.
In short, they seem on top of it, just like they should be.
I find myself thinking,"The world is about to find out" ─ and am not a little appalled at my own thought.

The right tried for four years to bend our nation into what they hoped would be an autocratic theocracy. It didn't work. Now those same people can go back and hide under rocks again.

1) no

2) no

But i am not american, over this side of the pond the right are raised from the womb to know 200% that whatever they do is right so no apology, ever. And if you don't like/agree with what that do then tough. I assume its just the same in the US

That is a wonderful sentiment but does not answer the first question in the OP.

I don't think that is all I posted. I mentioned the minority leader.

I do believe that Dems, Reps and Independence can work in unity for the common good (although there will always be the extremes on both sides of the aisle that won't work with just about anybody)

Indeed. But only the left ever is sneaky about them, right?

Americans take themselves on a tour of the Capital Building...

Understandable. I always bring arms on my tours of the fall foliage, the art galleries, and all -- I can see why the insurrectionists brought theirs to tour the Capitol Building. Any news on whether they liked the cafeteria food?

..which they own...

Point taken! Nothing says, "I own you, Capitol Building", like murdering a cop for saying "No, you don't".

...and somehow the nation was in danger.

What! You're kidding me, right? Who's been saying that? No one I'd pay attention to. And I know for a fact it isn't Sean Hannity or Tucker Carlson spreading those lies, so those lies cannot possibly be true! Theirs are the only true lies. Everyone says so.

Our cities burned for nearly a year and they were "peaceful protests."

I know! You don't even have to tell me! I've seen the footage. Hours after hours of nothing but burnt out American cities. Every city -- just like Newark New Jersey in the 60s.

We have only watched the media and democrats divide our nation for the last four years...

SPOT ON! Now you're talking! If only the left could learn from Tucker Carlson's fair and balanced, but firm rebukes of the left. That's how you do non-divisive media! He can show them!

how is it the responsibility of the "Right" to mend our nation?

It isn't. It can never be. I think we have more than established that. It's the left's responsibility! The right always says so. Must be true.

Tell you what, you guys just stick with making American great again. Just stick with that. No one thinks you should get more involved with helping out America than you already have been. Heck, you can even take a break from helping out America, now. You've earned it.

Me too.

That would be nice.
