Scripture Of The Day: 33

In My Opinion:

Romans 5:18-19
New International Version

18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

This scripture reminds us that Adam and Eve eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge resulted in all of humankind being condemned and cursed by God - that one act of disobedience by two people resulted in the fall of all humankind into sin and damnation

However, the sacrifice of one man through one act of painful selflessness enables us to be relieved from the weight of sin which we all bear as descendants of Adam and Eve, and also of the sin which we have accumulated in our own right as fallen beings

That man's name is Jesus Christ

The basic thought is right... but I would have a caveat here:

that one act of disobedience by two people resulted in the fall of all humankind into sin and damnation

I wouldn't say that all humankind would fall under damnation (although I would say all sin). Through blood covenants, a portal of grace was extended until Jesus fulfilled the promise of Genesis 3:15

The penalty for Adam's sin resulted in death. All humans die and return to dust. "From dust you are and to dust you shall return".
The "resurrection of life" comes through Jesus.

That means that all who are in him will come out of their graves. those who had been faithful will be raised immortal.

1Co 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1Co 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
1Co 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
1Co 15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
1Co 15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
1Co 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
1Co 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
1Co 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
1Co 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
1Co 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

That is the TRUE HOPE of the Christian. Don't fall for the lies!

The righteousness of ' one ' - Romans 5:18. ( 'one' ransom - Matthew 20:28 )
Thus, from God's standpoint or viewpoint to ransom mankind ( which was at great cost to God ) had to be done.
Done because as Adam's descendants we are like that bruised reed/ smoldering wick that God did Not want extinguised - Matthew 12:20
Scripture shows us that from among Adam's descendants aka us would come faithful people - Matthew 25:34
