US Comission demands release of Pakistani Ahmadi woman jailed for blasphemy, calls for end to such laws.

'The US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) has called on Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to release 55-year-old Ramazan Bibi, an Ahmadi woman in jail since last year under blasphemy charges...

...The statement by the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) said that 55-year-old Ramazan Bibi was jailed last April under Pakistan’s draconian blasphemy law that carries the death penalty.

USCIRF Commissioner James W Carr said, “The Pakistani govt must immediately release Ramzan Bibi, and all others detained for blasphemy. Authorities allowing these laws to be used for personal gain or vendetta are only enabling systematic discrimination based on religious belief."'

This sound like misunderstanding of what those laws actually says. The woman do have right to speak. And to me it look like harrasment of females.
If it was a man i doubt anyone would react.

Apathy to blatant inhumanity and abuse is more often than not a tacit indication of either tentative approval or complicity. There is nothing preventing the U.S. or any other country from practicing self-improvement while also doing what it can to be a voice for humane values (even if it fails at that a lot of the time).

What does the law say? By the way, the sign that the protesters, who I assume are Pakistani, tends to disagree with you. Protesters like that are why Draw Mohammed Day should be an international holiday.

I agree. I think the united Nations ought to be empowered to chastise countries for human rights violations with the threat of sanctions to enforce compliance.

True America "could"

But in this case America "should" educate Pakistan on international human rights violations

Note: IF Koran is word of God THEN Koran will agree with this

The law i spoke about is sharia law, that is the law in islam. of course certain sharia laws could be interpret to say punish of blasphemy should be done.
I dont support harming others, sharia to me is internal not telling others what is correct for them.

IMO:

Should be a mandatory international Drawing day, for it to be effective, esp for the people who need this insight/wisdom the most

I am bad at drawing, but I would be willing, as my contribution to getting 1 step closer to world peace, to mandatory draw mr. M. for 5 minutes daily if all would do it, as it would take care of 2 billion people being cured of condemning others using the blasphemy Law. That day Islam would make a huge leap towards "Religion of Peace". Of course still other things to improve before we really have world peace, but the blasphemy Law (freedom to kill blasphemers) is for sure 1 big obstacle to world peace

My understanding of sharia law is that it is forbidden for a muslim to draw a picture of prophet Muhammed or of Allah.
Why some people do it to make muslims angry i dont understand. Personally i dont get upset by non muslims who try to make me angry or upset. And maybe muslims who do get upset has an attachment to what non muslims do?

Would i draw a picture of prophet Muhammed or of Allah? No of course not.

Note that I talk about the "Blasphemy KILL Law" = Freedom to kill those who blaspheme. This Sharia Law also implies "No Freedom of Religion" IF you kill people who disagree with you view, who disagree with your religion. Seems to me that all these Muslims do not realize this

There is even a huge hypocrisy among those who adhere Sharia Law, esp. to be specific the blasphemy Law:
1) Freedom of Religion
2) Kill those who do not obey your Religion

Do you have a link to what you claim?

As a muslim, why would i kill you og you Said something bad about Islam or prophet Muhammed?
Why would i kill anyone who disagree with Islam?

I would'nt

Only extremists do those bad things

You cannot force people to draw Muhammad. That would be almost as bad as forcing people not to draw him. If it was an international holiday there would still be possibly billions of drawings every year. From complimentary to blasphemous. It would force the Muslims to remove the giant stick they have shoved up their behind in this matter.

There are a lot of what you would call "extremist" Muslims. In fact there was a video of what most would consider moderate Muslims in Britain and they thought that the death penalty was appropriate for Muslims that left the faith. I will have to see if I can find it.

I am sure you are correct in what you say about some muslims think like that.

But the important is, what does the teaching actually say?
Did prophet Muhammed say, to kill those who leave islam?

Some Muslims seem to think so. I will not argue what it says since I have not studied Islam in depth. I do understand that apostasy is supposed to draw the death penalty according to many Muslims.

Not the video that I was looking for but here is a seven minute long video where a Muslim scholar admits at the end that the penalty for apostasy is death in Muslim countries, and he does not appear to be very apologetic for this:
