Frankly, while I consider their Messengers quite sophisticated for the 19th century, they've been surpassed already in terms of moral and theological sophistication. The human world is changing a lot faster than they(or God) realized it would.
Actually Tom, it is the opposite, the world is changing just as Baha'u'llah said it would, a direct consequence of the rejection of God's Message in this age is how I have come to see it.
Abdu'lbaha, in the Tablets of the Divine Plan, and Shoghi Effendi, the Guardian of the Baha'i in numerous books and letters have both given a very accurate picture of what we will face as foretold by Baha'u'llah.
All we do not know is the duration of the change happening and what the event will be that alters the collective mind of humanity.
Humanity does now face an impending crisis, will it take this crisis before we see the wisdom in unity in our diversity as one humanity, under One God?
Unfortunately I see from my understanding what I have read, it can be only a few things. The crisis has in part the contamination of the Atmosphere and the Northern Hemisphere will face the bigger impact of this change.
One could say we have already contaminated the atmosphere, but it appears the atom bomb may be used again, and it will be on America. The Crisis will coincide with events centered on race relations issues.
So America was warned if it does not fix the race relations issues and they get out of hand and tear at the fabric the Nation was built on, then an enemy would take the opportunity to make a move. Given the current state of America, it is very close to what has been warned, but there may still be time?
If you ever chose to read all that material, you would see that God indeed has warned us of what would unfold since the late 1800's
Many have chosen not to pursue, as such we still have these conversations.
All the best Tom and all the best for America and the all the peoples of the world, great change is unfolding.
Regards Tony
