I don’t recall ever having this sort of dread. I’m 99.9999% sure that the election will be certified, but not 100%. And I HOPE that the number of violent trumpsters will be small, but I worry that things could get really nasty.

and then we have the Georgia runoffs…

man, i’m truly stressed out by this crap!

Trump will lose on the 6th.

Georgia? That's a cliffhanger with, I'm sure, violent MAGA threats and possibly action if the Democrats win. But with Trump talking out of both sides of his mouth about the Georgia vote, who knows.

Polls close 7pm ET Tuesday but presumably it will take as long as last time to know the winner.

Sigh. Mutter. :(

Do you really think anything about your life will be different? You want to know what's in your future..? Look what's in your hand.

America will be America.

Hey, I know that line! One of my favorites from Bob Weir :)

And yes, I think this is an extraordinarily consequential moment. Women's reproductive rights, healthcare for all, climate change, the possibility of defanging the oligarchs, rebuilding our infrastructure, restoring our education system..

You'll have to wait for that another eight years, I regret to inform you. Bernie won't run again and AOC will not be old enough in 2024.
Sleepy Joe ran on the merit of not being Trump and that's what you'll get.

Relax. Read some American history. I think you will see that this is not the worst it's ever been.

Never in "history" have the stakes been higher or our situation so fragile and perilous. Please, try to think about the world you'll be leaving behind for future generations to deal with.

I say the cold war near misses with all out nuclear
war with the USSR were more perilous. Several
times, it nearly happened.
I don't think this should make you feel better.
But it should put things in perspective.
