Hey, I don't want you guys to feel left out.

What brings you the greatest satisfaction with identifying as atheist? Having your Sunday mornings free? Something else?

What would you feel your worldview could stand to improve upon?

Making my own decisions without having to toe the god line.

Knowing what is right and wrong without referring to the monkey on my shoulder.

And the arguments discussions with those who cannot comprehend a life without a supernatural helper can be interesting.

As for improvement? Not sure there is much to improve on but pehaps a little understanding from much of the 80%+ of the population who refuse to accept atheism

Best part of atheism? Atheist babes are hot! For instance, @Audie -- most definitely hot and, I might add, conveniently sized to fit a Miata sports car. Or, @ChristineM -- so hot that an entire troupe of Las Vegas acrobats once requested copies of the posts she's made in the Eros Room for their "home study", as they called it.

You're such a rascally diplomat.

Freedom from fantastical delusions and all the hangups that it causes.

I'd much rather see things directly, as they actually are, even though its not as comfortable as the imagination and the worlds it provides.

"Best part of religion", "best part of atheism", these are not the only options. And in fact a huge number of human beings have chosen neither of these.

Satisfaction about identifying as an atheist? Nothing in and of itself.

... but I tried very hard to become a theist for a number of years. When I finally made the decision to stop trying, it was like a great weight had been lifted from me. Giving myself permission to finally be intellectually honest was wonderful; I'd say "satisfaction" wouldn't be a bad way to describe the feeling.

Do you need help finding the “post new thread” button?
No, but it looked as if you might be having trouble seeing past the 'battle of the binary opposites' that our culture seems to be so enamored with these days, to pretty much no useful purpose. Just trying to help.

You really should stop trying to always be the life of the party.
