Is the law forbidding Muslim women from marrying non-Muslim men found in the Quran?

This law is a form of anticompetitive law designed to discriminate against non-Muslim men and undoubtedly belongs up there with apostasy and blasphemy laws as a form of not so subtle thought coercion in my opinion, but is it derived from the Quran or simply hadith?

I wasn't aware that some Hindus forbid interfaith marriage.

It looks as though your link is claiming that interfaith marriage with both men and women (equally) of polytheism and Muslims are forbidden in the Quran.

Is that a correct understanding?

Forbid interfaith marriage is no problem. One sided forbidding interfaith marriage with hidden agenda to proselytize, is the issue here

That's my impression although the point that the article made is that there was a reason for it in that time and place. Some would argue that the reason no longer exists so the prohibition is not meaningful. Others disagree.

I don't believe there's a scriptural reason in India but there has been mob violence directed at such marriages. There's even a law Police in India Make First Arrest Under New Interfaith Marriage Law

That of course is not based on scripture as far as I know, but if you're the one attacked, it hardly matters what the mob or the government uses as a justification for violence.

I am fine if all Muslim/Hindus/Christian Laws prohibit interfaith marriage.
Freedom of Religion, and each country can make it's own Laws.
We just have to follow the Law of the Country

And I really like Muslimas. IF I would have been free to keep my own faith, I might have been married with a Muslima.

My Master introduced me to a Muslima saying "I give you this girl to marry". I had choosen Hinduism. Being serious, once I make a good choice I won't change. It would have felt good IF she was Muslima and I was allowed to stay Hindu, but it felt wrong that I have to convert; I would never ask that of the woman I marry.

So, I did not accept the offer of my Master.
Was a huge test, though, to say no to my Master (esp. because she was very spiritual AND the most gorgeous girl in the Ashram)

I don't remember seeing it in the Qu'ran. I believe hadiths are not reliable.

As for the Bible it says to not be unequally yoked. If the Islamic culture is the tyranny of men over women then that is being unequally yoked.

I once had a Jewish friend who was attending a Christian Bible study because she was enamored of a guy. I told her the group he belonged to believed in love bombing to make converts. It was a hard truth that she had trouble accepting.
