The BBC is reporting tonight that it is possible that a Trade Deal might be made tonight.

We wait with much interest because a breakthrough could be arriving .....

Interesting.

They will be getting the spin-doctors writing the script to sell it as a success.

It will be worse than we currently have and fishing will still be an issue.

Then we will have the ERG passing verdict on it - not to mention Farage. It won't be right for them either but they won't take responsibility for it.

Come on........ Don't rubbish it before we know what it is.
I'm hoping that we keep a fair area of water for our fishing industry to grow whilst establishing a decent trade deal.
I'm hopeful. Don't dash my optimism on Xmas Eve Eve.. :)

Trouble is ... we sold 50% ish of it to European Companies, I can't see those being handed back.
"Level Playing Field" is a red line for the EU

So it will not be good enough for anyone

I'm keeping an optimistic outlook, hoping for something reasonable.
We have to go forward.

Today's newspapers from outside the Tory bubble ...

Le Monde
“The UK finds itself once again facing a question that was never resolved after 1945: its place in the world”

Der Spiegel
“The UK might need Brexit to realise how small the bit part it will play on the world stage will really be”

New York Times
Brexit Is Finally Done, but It Already Seems Out of Date

Italian newspapers: lucky the British. Lucky them.

But that says nothing of the sort ...

Brexit 2021: “Abbiamo finalmente trovato l’accordo”, c'è il deal UK-Ue

"....and the countries of the European Union will not be damaged ..."

"#EU27 unity has been and will remain key."

I think you were being slightly in-genuine about what it says.

Ok...this article is better. If you have Google Chrome, you can translate it with the right key of the mouse.:)

No, but when 27 nations agree with any dissensions you know which side thinks it got the best deal (It did)
No.
The way you are thinking, a fair deal for us could never have been agreed, and we would have left with No Deal which you did not want.
I'm sad about part of the agreement but much more pleased about most of it.

I'm relieved about not having No Deal BUT it is still a disaster.

Nobody yet has mentioned a tangible benefit of Brexit - in just about every way we will be at best 'No worse off' but in many cases worse off.

You can tell it is a disaster because the Tory Press is spinning like mad and trying to ignore it.

Another lie has come home to roost only today - We will reduce red tape they promised - ah, but maybe not says Gove; there will be more paperwork to travel/trade abroad.

So sad, sold a pup
