How Great is Allah's Love?

Hellbound Serpiente

Active Member
Where is Allah? I have not seen him, but I have seen my mother. My mother rocked me and cradled me, she sang me songs as a baby and reached out to me when she was worried... She would have died for me to live.

How does Allah express his love? Is it worth worshipping a God that shows less love than man?

You saw your mother after you were born. In your mother's womb, you could neither see or feel the way your mother cared about you.

Our inability to observe God and His Love doesn't mean that there is no God and/or His Love for us is absent.

Is Allah's love greater than a mother's love for her child? Or is Allah's love less than that?

Allah, God, has love that transcends the human capacity of understanding. As Jesus Christ is the son of God, and the exact representation of his very being, we can take the words about Jesus Christ written here and apply them to his Father, Jehovah God as well:

"In order that with all the holy ones you may be thoroughly able to comprehend fully what is the breadth and length and height and depth,  and to know the love of the Christ, which surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness that God gives."-Ephesians 3:18-19.

Another comforting scripture about God's love toward his holy ones:

"By this we will know that we originate with the truth, and we will assure our hearts before him 20 regarding whatever our hearts may condemn us in, because God is greater than our hearts and knows all things."-1 John 3:19, 20.

And to answer your question about God's love and if it surpasses that of a mother for a child, did you know that Jehovah made that exact comparison in the Bible? Notice what he says:

" Can a woman forget her nursing child
Or have no compassion for the son of her womb?
Even if these women forget, I would never forget you
."
-Isaiah 49:15.

Another thought that came to mind. Maybe the mother's love is of better value because it isn't dependent on the child (say from belief, practice, or so have you) in order to receive it. Rather than Allah, God, and so forth one needs faith and/or practice from the practitioner in order to receive the love. Unconditional love isn't based on the faith or practice of the individual but should/would be given despite this. Ideally, that's what a human mother does since that child's birth without the infant and child needing to have faith and practice in order for the mother to give it.

So, I would agree with you (if understanding correctly) the mother's love is of higher value. If I sided with Muslim, though, I would hope they'd see a mother's love as a reflection of Allah's love not at a lesser value compared. At least if approached abrahamic god, that's how I would see it. It takes out the comparison and black/white thinking.

Maybe expand it a bit. Couldn't the mother have the same need to protect, love, and so forth without needing to have a child in order to express it?

Can't love, protection, and so forth be value and gift in itself without needing to be expressed by an incarnation for it to be experienced?

Can love exist if love is not expressed? Can a father abandon his child, and life a full life and die, having loved the child he abandoned his entire life?

...What good is love that is not expressed?

...If Allah loves us, he has to show us his love, or else that love is less than a mothers love. And if man's love is greater than Allah's, then Allah is unworthy of praise.

A sniper can prove his love for his comrades by shooting down their enemies from a distance with silence and stealth ... before his comrades can even realize what the heck has just happened. Perhaps God Works in ways nigh-unobservable to us.

I've had such personal experiences. I got out of unbeatable situations and overcame obstacles by ... doing nothing but witnessing phenomenas happen that I still can't explain rationally yet. I personally feel like there is a higher power watching over me, and also all of us.

.If Allah loves us, he has to show us his love

Jehovah certainly has shown his great and enduring love for us. Jesus said:

"For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life."-John 3:16.

So did God show his love? Yes, and that love impels us to love. Both God, and our fellowman.

For love is in this respect, not that we first loved God, but that God loved us, and showed that love before we even knew him:

"By this the love of God was revealed in our case, that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world so that we might gain life through him. The love is in this respect, not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a propitiatory sacrifice for our sins."-1 John 4:9-10.

Google Search is your reliable source of true facts?

Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't.

Its always better than the Bible or the Koran, which are real stinkers if facts are what you want.

Do you wish to deny that it is an Islamic work of art depicting the fate of women like me?

The guy is kind of a psycho.
Sends love in the form of torture to save people from more torture for breaking his rules when he made it mpossible not to break them.

Love in the form of locusts tsking food from innocent babies.

Or a flood to drown the innocent in the tens of thousands, maybe millions.

I prefer an empty loveless cosmos to one run by that monster.

So did God show his love?

So instead of dying himself, God killed his son for us..? Can you explain how that's "loving"..? To kill someone else for someone else..?

...Because that still seems less loving than a mother's love. Who would kill *herself* for another's survival.

Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't.

Mostly it doesn't. There are more lies, half-truths and outright bull**** on intrawebz. Intrawebz is a breeding ground of lies and propaganda. I can easily refute most of the criticism from WikiIslam [a real source of criticism for Islam, unlike Google] and expose that they are propagandist with vested agenda.

You should properly vet the source of information you find, and also the perceptual "facts" they give you.

Its always better than the Bible or the Koran, which are real stinkers if facts are what you want.

So much wrong with this.

1. Why do you think Google is better than Bible and The Holy Qur'an?

2. Why do you think Bible and The Holy Qur'an are "real stinkers" when it comes to giving "facts"?

3. Why do you think Bible and The Holy Qur'an are actually giving literal "facts" pertaining to hell? Why do you think The Holy Qur'an is not using metaphors, figure of speech, signs but is actually using literal facts when describing hell and other relevant things?

Many more can be said, but damn ... that was a very hasty statement, really.

Do you wish to deny that it is an Islamic work of art depicting the fate of women like me?

Yes, I would deny that. You see, most of the information people get about "hell" and the fate of beautiful, lovely women like you is coming from Hadiths.

Hadith are just bunch of unverified, unconfirmed HEARSAYS that people made up GENERATIONS AND DECADES after the death of Prophet Muhammad, and later these unverified hearsays were passed on generation from generation.

If the childhood game of telephone hasn't taught you already, hearsays get distorted, twisted, blown out of proportion as they get passed on from one person to another. Now, keep that in mind and think about Hadiths getting passed for CENTURIES!

As such, they are unreliable and most likely false. I just refuted most of what Google Search would have told you regarding the fate of cuties like you as [allegedly] told by Islam without even trying.

Although I am no longer a Muslim, I still believe in authenticity and truthfulness of The Holy Qur'an and also Bible. But even when I was a Muslim, I would deny it is Islamic to wish such horrible things on beautiful babes like you and others. Women should be treasured and loved, not tormented and possessed and enslaved and such evils.

So, please, expose more and more. Expose so much that you would be found guilty of causing car accidents because guys like me were busy relishing your beauty rather than concentrating on the damn road. Live your life fully ...

Oh and ... expose.

First things first. God never acts evil, and never tests anyone with evil:

(James 1:13) When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone.

Second, God cannot die:

(Habakkuk 1:12) Are you not from everlasting, O Jehovah? O my God, my Holy One, you do not die.

You are not looking at what he has done for you and for all humankind. Instead you wrongfully accuse him of things he is not. This twisted reasoning comes from a wicked and evil heart.

(Ezekiel 18:25) “‘But you will say: “The way of Jehovah is unjust.” Please listen...Is it my way that is unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust?

God never acts evil???

Scripture constantly talks about god's justifies whether it be taking a life, punishment, causing illness, or consequence of disobedience. Evil can also be seen as providing a means for people to separate themselves from god. The whole bible is full of bad/good in which most christians call justice. (They get what they asked for mentality).

James 1:13... wait. god tried Abraham to test his obedience. He also tried Moses. He even tried jesus by jesus calling out to his father in pain-a test of devotion and obedience.

Habakkuk 1:12 This doesn't have to do with evil. It just refers to god not dying not god not being evil.

Ezekiel 18:25 Which kind of conflicts with

Hebrews 10:30. 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.”

Proverbs 21:15. 15 When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.

Many people describe god's definition of justice as evil because god has "taken a life" at the expense of his justice. Has punished. Has made people go to war. Has turned people to salt. Who has let jesus died painfully on the cross.

I know evil is a strong word, but it is what it is.

I guess a person who believes in the authenticity of those books would
believe nearly anything.

Including that they somehow have access
to the true meanings.

That thing about "expose" is a bit
weird whether from those holy books
or from you, sorry-ah.

...What good is love that is not expressed?

I believe love can exist in a person if it isn't expressed. One needs have something in order to give it away. How is a person defined if he has nothing to give?

I assume he can though it would be a contradiction to his actions. His "true nature" may be the love for others but for whatever external reason, his actions (abandoning his child) is in conflict with his nature. Which happens to a lot of people-probably most without regards to religious interpretations.

...If Allah loves us, he has to show us his love, or else that love is less than a mothers love. And if man's love is greater than Allah's, then Allah is unworthy of praise.

From what I gather of a new Muslim here (cough), Allah's love is via one's practice rather than someone dying or sacrifice. How I would see it, one would not need someone to sacrifice themselves for a Muslim, when Allah is already there by one's practice as a determinate rather than (imo) one's faith.

Sacrificing oneself knowing in advance to come back after three days, is not a big deal. Everybody would sacrifice oneself like that. Ergo, cannot be used as evidence of love. Like the love a mother shows to really sacrifice herself, and not just pretend to.
