How Great is Allah's Love?

Is Allah's love greater than a mother's love for her child? Or is Allah's love less than that?

To me, Allah's love is greater then all love between human beings combined, other people will say different then this, some will even say Allahs has no love, but for me on the journey i take in islam and in sufism, Allah has shown me love i never knew existed.

I can not answer for Allah :)
I am less then Allah so no need for a God to die for me.

I don't mean any disrespect, I was just in deep thought, and came upon the notion, that it would be awkward to worship a God who isn't pure love. In fact, I would have a hard time understanding how a God wouldn't invite everyone into his loving fold who desires it, regardless of anything... Because love seems unconditional, like a mother's love is unconditional... And to worship a God whose love is less than a mothers love for her own child is to worship someone whose morals are insufficient and unworthy of praise... Is that wrong to think?

...Also, how could anyone worship a God who considers himself above others? That doesn't represent true love to me either. True love, is to put the other above yourself, IMO.

There is no disrespect from your questions:) a valid question is always welcome

I would say a mother's love for their child would ideally be the love allah has for their follower insofar if that mother's love is a reflection of Allah, I'd assume that her love is just one reflection of Allah's rather than at a lesser value. Though I don't separate in my head Allah, God, or so have you they tend to have different perspectives of love. So, I'm not too sure. That would be my guestimate.

But it appears to me, that a mothers love is at a higher level than Allah's love... Because a mother will die to protect her child's life, but Allah has not shown that he would go that far.

...So how could Allah be worshipped if his love is less than a mere human's..?

'Allah' is just the Arabic word for God. Don't you think God is more loving than humans? Or less?

God in Islam and God in Christianity are different because the first one goes to god directly and the latter one goes through christ as an incarnation/as god himself. So, unless god has double personalities, they are different despite the language and terms.

Where is Allah? I have not seen him, but I have seen my mother. My mother rocked me and cradled me, she sang me songs as a baby and reached out to me when she was worried... She would have died for me to live.

How does Allah express his love? Is it worth worshipping a God that shows less love than man?

There are certainly differences between the Christian and Islamic conceptions of Allah/God. So it might be helpful to clarify which we're talking about, right? That's my purpose in asking the question.

You believe in God, don't you? How do you think she does so?

Simple. I (gasp) expose my hair in public!

Hot ... you should have exposed more ...

Regardless, that doesn't answer my question. How can you be so sure that Allah Really Dislikes That and Planned to hang you by your hair in eterrnal fire for that? What are the reasons by which you came to that conclusion.

Maybe expand it a bit. Couldn't the mother have the same need to protect, love, and so forth without needing to have a child in order to express it?

Can't love, protection, and so forth be value and gift in itself without needing to be expressed by an incarnation for it to be experienced?
