How are you, Satanists?

The Beast isn't out of her cage, but it's getting harder to keep it contained.
Really, I think the stress of the year is finally catching up to me. The stressors we've all faced, personal things related to that, and things not related to it. And I'm starting to break.

I almost ended up in the nuthouse again lately for a stress-induced breakdown. Thankfully, it passed relatively quickly. We're all struggling now.

Trust me, I loosed my Beast once this year, due to stress.

I need NOT let Her out again for a while, but He will always lie just below the surface, awaiting Her chance to BREATHE once more.

I was right there with you Brother. Take deep breathes and constantly scan your muscles for tension, we've made it this far through 2020.

Edit: I lost 5 days mentally, and 6 weeks physically. 3 breaking down and 3 recouping so far.

That's a great idea. I should make my SO give me a rub down. She's always having me give her massages, so she needs to return the favor more. :D

I was bonkers for a few days last week because of sleep deprivation thanks to my lunatic neighbors. I ended up cracking. Then I got suspended for 3 days for attendance reasons.

Mine last came about a few years ago. Living in Indiana still, working as a case manager for crappy wages that didn't get me above the poverty, never really getting a break from it, heavy pressures to be someone I'm not, a massive chunk of my money going to healthcare, driving the crap out of my car, and it was so unsupportive and setting me up to fail my very first client was a hyperactive 4-year-old. The youngest in the system by a few years. Add in that no matter what, I saw nothing but dead ends being there with no hope of improvement.
What got me put on medical leave and put in IOP was when I disclosed to my doctor I was driving home from an orthopedic specialist, told there was nothing he'd do for me, and I was traveling along a country road, nearing an intersection on a freeway, amd I saw an ambulance with its lights on and thought it would be a great scene of irony that an instrument of preserving life would be used as a tool to end a life. She didn't like hearing that, and off to treatment I went.
This was also after my first hypo-manic episode, a very high wave that I rode, not knowing what was going on, just thinking I felt great, especially as I hadn't been on Effexor long enough for the usual stuff to kick in. And though in hindsight I've spotted a clear pattern of slow decline, when that wave crashed it crashed down hard.

And later I read a journal entry from one doctor who wrote about a similar thing that happened to one of his patients. And I learned bipolar is a very rare side effect of SSRI treatment.
