When It's Time To Start Watching My Feet

Salty Booger

I had to climb a ladder today to close up an attic entrance in the garage. It was difficult and a bit scary. I have reached that age where those things that were once easy are now perilous. I don't know how much longer it will be before I am watching my own feet to avoid tripping over them.

I have reached that age where most of life's problems aren't a big deal, yet my physical prowess is on a steady decline. Quite the tradeoff.

When it comes to physical activity, in my mind, I’m still in my 20s. When attempting to do something, my body reminds me quite readily that I’m not.

I started doing some asanas after my morning meditations. I have time for that now. :D

Which reminds me, it's about that time. I got up about 40 minutes earlier than normal this morning, which landed me on RF during the time between waking and my morning meditation.

Two years back I slipped on ice, and hobbled about for 2 months. I don't watch my feet, but I sure watch the ice. For my personality type, work is the exercise. Snow shoveling is trick though, as it can be too much in a short time.

At the ripe old age if 50 and following two operations i am really only just beginning to get my get up and go back.

Morning yoga is good for me, it stretches and highlights awareness of the body. Ive just started Nordic walking, i love go be out in the forest, using the sticks is good exercise. I should also do cycling, before the first of i would think nothing of an 80km ride.

At first I thought this was titled "When its time to start washing my feet." I was just wondering if at my age I needed to start doing that.
