Wow! They are not even trying to hide their racism. Hmm, what can they say about other races . . . Nope, nope. Not even going to go there as a joke.

And lets keep ignoring larger trends and pretending racism isn't an issue thay is present at large among Trump supporters.

It is a racist remark and very poorly formulated, but I don't think she meant it like that, when watching the clip.

In Denmark everyone is send a voting ballot or slip, before an election, which you then have to bring to the place where you are suppose to vote. You then hand this over to one of the voting representatives, which will scan it, and you have to tell your birthday and show them some ID. You are then crossed of a physical list and in a computer. After that you get your voting slip and can go vote.

Is that not how it is done in the US? How do they make sure that people are not voting several times or that people can't cheat?

What I mean is, how would a Voter ID, make it more secure than the current way voting is done in the US?

That implies that the current method is not secure. Yes, it is possible for a few people to cheat if they really want to. But most find it enough of a bother to vote, much less cheat. Such safeguards have been found to be unnecessary. It is not that people are not above cheating. It is that it takes too much time to cheat and for almost no advantage.

Those who cling to the voter fraud conspiracy theory are like bratty children screaming and flailing about in the floor of a candy aisle because their parents sternly told them "No. Put that junk back where you found it."

No, not buyin it. It is clear to me that the thought and intent here was racist. I don’t care what her ethnicity is, that is irrelevant.

She could have just said that a lot of people look similar. That is obviously true. It would still be an illogical argument with no legal merit and no evidence of voter fraud, But true that there are a lot of similar looking people walking around out there, there are hundreds or thousands of people who look very similar to you, or to me.

But she went straight for the racist trope. No, no, I ain’t cuttin her no slack.

Well, as I used to say to my Japanese ex-wife, "Don't wander away in the mall. You know I'll never find you -- especially if you go into that Chinese restaurant. How could I tell you from one of the cooks?"

So, the question is, why does Denmark need a nearly paranoid level of voter security?
Ill answer both of you at the same time.

I don't think it's fair to call people names for taking voting seriously, I mean some of the choices being made based on who is in charge can severely change people's lives. Politicians are just as much citizens of the country as you are, no more and no less. (I know the rules doesn't really seem like that :), but at least on paper it should be.) So making sure that everyone have trust in how voting takes place is very important, because obviously if people get convinced that it is corrupt or being manipulated, then they will lose trust in not only that, but also the government in general. I assume it is the same in the US as it is in Denmark, that it is your right to be able to state your opinion about who you believe should run your country. So pointing fingers at those that feel cheated have to be taken very seriously in my opinion, even if they are wrong. It does tell something about the system that so many feel that fraud is involved. Whether that is purely because people are angry or the system is not transparent enough doesn't really matter I think. People should be able to go away from an election feeling that their vote counted, whether they lost or won.

So I don't think Denmark have a paranoid level of voter security, I have actually been a voter elective myself, a single time. And the process of checking people is very fast. Normally, or at least the place I did it, we were two people, one checking IDs and scanning, and the other one handing out the voting slip. And honestly, it takes about 5-10 seconds per person, once you get into the routine.

After everyone have voted, the votes will be sorted and put into piles based on parties. And then all of them are counted by two seperate people, to see if the number of votes match the number which are suppose to vote at that given place. This is the initial count and if things doesn't match up within a given margin, then everything will be recounted at that election place. Once that is done, then all the votes will be recounted another place as well, where they go through them in more details and fix potential errors that the initial counting might have missed. But normally only very few mistakes are made, so the initial counting is what is shown in the TV, just as with the US election.

Trump Election Fraud Witness Says We Need Voter ID Because 'All Chinese Look Alike' (Video)

This is how desperate they are getting. No evidence, just - I don’t even want to say what this garbage is.

And whatever you think about the issue of voter ID, that has nothing to do with what this hearing was supposed to be about.
Probably they bring this up to brainwash the American people for the next step: All people need to get chipped ... it's need has been proven now

Of course it's so stupid this issue. Humans are humans, right and left cheat equal, so that will balance out in the end

This does proof that Trump is a narcissist though, because a narc. never can admit he lost

Yes, this is the crux of the problem. People can lose trust because they see corruption and manipulation occurring, or they can lose trust because they are told they there is corruption and manipulation.

When there are high level public officials lying to the public about voter fraud this can have a disastrous effect. And when that is amplified by a portion of the media there is no wonder some people believe it.

That is why it is so important to bring evidence. What Trump and Giuliani and company are doing is cause a dangerous lever of mistrust in the institution of democracy. It will take decades to undo the damage they have done in one month.

Yeah completely agree and evidence for these claims are definitely a must, because as you say, people can easily be mislead or believe in conspiracies, we have seen that many times before.

Our problem is that voter ID has been so politicized.
Better security is politically useful to either oppose or
favor, depending upon one's party. On the surface,
& looking at it neutrally, bettering it is a good idea.
But I think it will be some time before things calm
down to the point both sides reach consensus
on what level of security is best, ie, fair, useful,
& cost effective.
