If you were to implement your spiritual beliefs into religious rituals, how would you proceed?

Prayers, Meditations, Spellcraft.

Nature Awareness and mindfulness.

8 main Holy Days celebrated roughly 6-8 weeks apart to notate the changing of seasons, and growth/decay/death cycles. The Rituals include foods, drinks, sacrifices, and omens for the upcoming season. The Gods, Ancestors and Spirits are held in honor of the occasions.

What do you do step by step? Can you provide a sort of instructional manual of your practices?

I personally cannot. I would have to write an entire book or two to do so. To understand you would not only have to be able to understand what I am doing, but to also see it from my perspective for it to make any sort of sense.

A ritual is only meaningful if it springs from living spirit. Too often it's done by people who it seems would rather be digging splinters out of their feet with sharp pins.

Might make for an awesome book even! I encourage you to write it and make your family a few extra bucks possibly as well!

It has always seemed to me that ritual is an attempt to wield some sort of power (or magic) that one cannot manage otherwise. Rituals can be as benign as trying to bring blessings upon a new child (baptism) or as malevolent as attempting to cause injury or death to another person (through such things as voodoo images and the like).

For that reason, ritual has always seemed like an admission that those performing the ritual are out of their depth, and looking for help. I think there are better means of seeking help at such times. Even the Yellow Pages probably offers hope than performing mindless ritual.

I ritually give back to nature and give thanks to what this world gives to me. Every day I leave offerings to the plants and animals that I consider a part of my extended family. I give thanks to Hertha by doing something to help the life around me every day. Never seems enough but these simple rituals have meaning to me. I also take a moment in every day to feel connected to the world outside of the four walls that isolate me from my extended family. I also celebrate eight phases of the year in contemplation of what they mean to me and the world I live in.

Ritual is an essential part of life.
it is written....
There are no works of hand that justify a soul before God and heaven

I have no ritual or ceremony
no rug for your knee
no beads for your hand
no cap for your head
no litany of prayers

the instruction I got.....go to your closet and close the door
and the Spirit that knows you will hear your prayer

now consider
if Someone should whisper a response into your ear
would you stay in the closet?
