When you make toast, where does the bread go? (Wrong answers only!)

I'd like to believe that the 11$ toaster one gets from Walmart is actually an interdimensional gateway to hell that submerges your bread into a brief torment at the hands of various imps and devils before being pulled from their clutches and back into your toaster; hot and ready to eat. Pop!

How does the water know whether it's destined for the faucet or the toilet?
What if it got confused....you'd be drinking toilet water!

“Toaster” is just an acronym.
T.O.A.S.T.E.R. is just easier than saying;
Transmorgrification Operator Assisted Slice—>Toast Extrusion Replicator

The bread is just payment for the operators to give you toast.
Just do NOT ask where the operators are! :confused::eek:

Edit. Correction.

Yes! That explains both the pushing the bread in, in a downward direction; as well as the way the toast leaps up out of the toaster when it is done.
Genius!

It's nothing weird, alchemy has been around since ancient times. The major goals of this natural philosophy are generally accepted to be:

Elixir: immortality gateway
Panacea: universal remedy
Alkahest: universal solvent
Panis mutatis: bread transmutation (usually into toast)
Chrysopoeia: base metal transmutation (usually into gold)

That's a lot of mouth words for "burnt bread." :D

On the other side of the world, there are devices called breaders. People there push toast down into them and...out pops our bread!
