What Will you do After Trump Wins the Election?

I'm not predicting Trump is going to win.

I'm just asking, in case he does, what do you see yourself doing?

Celebrate?
Cry?
Move to another country?
Encourage civil war?
Nothing? Just go on about your life with no changes?
Something else?

I'd probably stop visiting the US completely.

I used to go over all the time: multi-day trips to Michigan & Ohio, mainly, but lots of shorter trips to Tigers games and concerts, too.

After Trump got in, I cut back everything except short trips for meetings in Michigan for my volunteer stuff.

If he gets in again, I'm probably washing my hands of the country for a long, long time.

I chose: Just go on about your life with no changes?

I will admit I will take some satisfaction in seeing those sneering loud mouth liberals screaming. The sensible center gives them a smack back.

Retract my prediction that Biden will win.

I have occasional fantasies of hunkering down in Stratford by extending our annual visit by 51 weeks.

Two things wrong here.
1. No Trump supporter is “sensible”.
2. No Trump supporter is “center”.
These truths are self-evident.

As for what I’ll do? Mostly go on with life, except I’ll be donating and advocating for more centrist and sensible politicians and policies, even more than I do now. Possibly going so far as running for some local office....but that last option is extremely unlikely.

After I feel like it's safe to do so (covid vulnerable in the house) I'll probably get a lot more involved in local politics, local protests, join a couple new volunteer groups, and give a lot more disappointed looks at people.

I already decided to leave the country. The goal is this being the last presidential election I cast a ballot in.
