I know a person whose belief in God was soo strong that she would do things to prove that God was always protecting her.
One example was that she used to cross busy roads without looking.
The last time she did this she was run over and, fortunately, not killed.
This is an example of stupid. (I was once a similar type of person).

A lawyer friend of mine works full time in the American legal system, working to free people from the death sentence.
She was successful only once(that I know of) when she proved that the said criminal was elsewhere at the time of the murder.
An example of innocence.

One example of stupid was me believing I could let it leak out I was bi and still be accepted in a religious group.

One example of innocence was me being accused of corrupting all that is holy in this universe when they found out and not having done so.

Sometimes people are misguided by wrong beliefs.
What if, due to some family problems you live away from your own child -- not able to educate. And your child is misguided by some wrong beliefs -- and did this same mistake. Is your child Innocent, or stupid ?

Wrong beliefs attained by a grown woman who has known better(as in the case above) leads to stupidity.
Yes she did it innocently believing that God would protect her, however
it does not cancel out her stupidity.
So she was both innocent & stupid.

You mean.. if your own child (As in the case above). If, grown-up then stupid, otherwise innocent ?

You are innocent walking on the grass when you haven't come across the 'Do Not Walk On The Grass' sign, but are stupid if attempting to climb a fence that has a clear notice displayed, 'WARNING - Electrified Fence'.

No. am NOT making any claim -- what makes person grown up. Its you making claim of grown-up.

So, you tell what makes one grown-up ?

When my daughter was 8 years she wanted to have ear piercings, which were popular at the time.
I also had 6 ear piercings, so that may have influenced her.
I did not regard that she had enough years life experience to make such a decision, so I said to her "Ask me again when you are 12 and you may do it if you wish".

So one could say I did not regard as grown up enough to make such a decision.

(Incidentally, I reminded her of her question when she was 12, she just laughed and called me palio-hippy)
