Teacher Beheaded near Paris

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
A man wielding a large knife attacked and beheaded a teacher near Paris. The teacher had shown caricatures of Mohammad in the classroom.

Can everyone agree that beheading someone for a caricature, even of Mohammad, is unreasonable and is to be condemned?
Yes it is an act of evil to kill anyone, even if they had shown a drawing of the Prophet, i do not support acts like that

Say, why not let Allah judge these perceptual "wrongdoer" rather than assuming the role of judge, jury and executioner and harming innocent people for no serious reason whatsoever? Who the hell gave them the right to judge who is worthy of killing? Just what makes them believe what they are doing is some sort of a major evil?

I am fairly sure if Prophet Muhammad S.A.W was here, he would have taken serious action against these and such evil.

This is downright barbaric and people of all religions, genders, nationalities, tribes etc. should condemn it and take proactive actions against such evils.

Another instance of an act from the religion of peace.

To be fair, it’s not the religion itself. It’s what people do with religion. Christianity is guilty of the Crusades, the decimation and destruction of indigenous societies and civilizations in the Americas, Asia and Africa. Hindu and Buddhist groups are not innocent either, though not to the extent of Christianity’s and Islam’s guilt. Vigilantism could be justified by the Bhagavad Gita if someone were so inclined to do so.

Possibly the person who did this had mental problems, so maybe it wasn't called for by the religion. On the other hand maybe it was, since Muhammad did behead certain persons. As he is the model for Muslim life, it is possible. Its also possible that the teacher beheaded himself. Who can say what is more likely? Also, since he mocked a prophet of God isn't it like he has beheaded himself by manipulating conditions around him? He must have known that somebody would come for his head. Therefore how can I condemn the act which is clearly a suicide?

Actually I think it was wrong.

But Islam claims to be the religion of peace; it blatantly isn't.
Claiming other religions are just as bad, is not a good excuse

Did you read nothing I wrote? Christianity is (supposed to be) based on the teachings of a man who said to love others as you love yourself, to treat them how you want to be treated, to love the God that he said is a God of love and a father. So yeah, Christianity claims to be a religion of peace.

The answer is as simple as it is tragic I'm afraid... What makes them do these things, are their religious beliefs.

I am fairly sure if Prophet Muhammad S.A.W was here, he would have taken serious action against these and such evil.

To be honest, I don't know about that. To be more honest: I don't care either.

Most do. Except all those who share the a-hole's religious beliefs and those who sympathise with it.

Whosoever kills a human being without (any reason like) man slaughter, or corruption on earth, it is as though he had killed all mankind ... (5:32)

It's not the religion of peace that is "snowflake", rather the so-called "Muslim".

Regardless, I don't care. I am more drawn towards Sanantana dharma and think all Abrahamic religions should either reform or abolish

"Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" is the religion itself. "If a man lies with a man as he would a woman they are to be put to death, their blood is on their hands" IS the religion itself. Executing women who aren't virgins on their wedding night IS the religion. "The only punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is that they should be murdered, or crucified, or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides, or they should be imprisoned." That IS the religion itself.

One problem is that certain types of religion are more attractive to those with mental issues. Someone who is violent will be attracted to the violent aspects that exist in all religions. And, if they believe that God or honor calls them to commit violence, they will do what they are already inclined to do.

This is as true of those who shoot abortion doctors or burn witches at the stake as it is for those who behead people or who deliberately crash airplanes into buildings.

ALL religions have such violent teachings and violent histories. The first suicide bombers were Buddhist (in Sri Lanka).
