in sha‘ allah (God willing).

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
I am sure you heard a muslim say " in sha‘ allah (God willing)."
Putting your faith in God so that if God want it to happen i will.

Many people i know laugh when i used this phrase a few times, because they believe in nothing that they them self as done, so they ask, why would Allah care what you do or dont do?

My answer is, Allah do care because Allah want the best for humanity.

The next question i always get is. So Allah only see his slaves( followers) as humanity?

My answer is: no Allah see every human being and want all good for everyone, but he do not force anyone to be a follower, what happen when someone do not follow the teaching is that they will not be able to stop the suffering they feel.

To end this with saying. I do not ask you to be a muslim :) and i am really happy for those who found answers within their current religion or faith. I cheering you on your path.
If you found your answer outside of religion or spiritual teaching you can live a good life with it :) i know religion or spiritual life is not for everyone ( not because it is impossible to become religious but because it was not meant to be for you this time)

Feel free to discuss but be nice to each other ( i promise i won't bite) :p

Hope this thread will be in good spirit for everyone ( in sha‘ allah )

And? What you see in the OP is my words, not taken from Quran.
As muslims we are not suppose to hate or dislike non muslims.
I do not see anything that would give rise to bringing up hate or dislike, by the image presented. like all things of a mythological nature they are prone to being spun by whatever is the spirit of the age.....an interesting tutor, is it not?

The Qur'an is not mythological, it is the words of Allah. The Qur'an is just as correct and up to date as any other religions teaching. Only Allah knows who will understand it or not.

not disputing about what people call it, that is ...well, shall we say, my vernacular for all such writings.
however I wasn't crossing swords, friend.
I came across that item today and thought it worth saving...and saw your little thread here and thought it fit...interesting synchronicity.
see what comes of it. hopefully something pleasant.

I have found insha'allah a very useful expression, ever since my time in Dubai in the 1980s. Christians, or at any rate Catholics, quite often say "God willing" too, as a qualification for some human plan or other that could go wrong. It's not a bad thing to indicate a sense of submission to the will of the Almighty.

But I prefer the Arabic version - partly because things quite often did not go to plan in the Arab world.;)

Thus, could you explain how the verse you had underlined refers to the OP?

Let me ask you something and if you could answer this it will be great. Do you naturally assume this verse refers to everyone who does not call him/her-self "muslim"? Well, the verse doesnt say that. Thus, the natural assumption that this is referring to you or anyone else who does not call himself muslim is your personal issue.

Hope you understand.

I like the phrase and see it could apply across many faiths and world views. At some point I put my trust in God, wherever that may lead.

My mom once bought me a Christian based history book. It told a lot of apparently accurate details on things like your faith. Which did give me a curiosity, respect and proper understanding of it (I think). Unfortunately, the reason why the book provided these mostly accurate details was to after presenting them, talk from a perspective that the religion was incorrect in comparison to Christianity. I was thankful for the book but not for the reason the writers might think.

Imagine this: Cultures all over the world have their god(s) and goddesses which have created to everything in our galaxy.

Allah is just one of the numerous cultural names for the prime god of creation. They all pray to this common prime god - even when going to war against each other.

How would such a prime and common cultural god decide which culture to support in a war? Numerous wars on the Earth shows that "god" don´t care at all. It´s all up to humans themselves what is happening on the Earth for good or bad - and it is all up to individuals in a society what happens to a single person.

"God" don´t care at all. This figure is a human imagination of a celestial star constellation or an imagination of the figurative contours of the Milky Way.

In fact this passage echoes the Old Testament Psalm 115. So there is nothing about this to suggest muslims hate non-muslims, any more than Jews or Christians are supposed to hate non-Jews or non-Christians.

A non-issue, in fact.

That verse you posted is one of my all-time favorites I use frequently and mention and think upon regularly.

To me, it is saying that its not at all your fault what you end up believing or even doing, so that if you can't seem to understand, its because God made you that way and wants you that way for now, and God chooses that fish inhabit water, that butterflies go through various stages, or that some people might inhabit other sorts of places in other sorts of experiences, all the blame and responsibility is turned on God ultimately, and that gives a great sense of relief, where one doesn't have to feel as irritated and stressed about miscommunication or conflict, but instead it is surrendered as the fault or will of God or The Reality (Al-Haqq) and there isn't much anyone can do about certain things. Why are you reading the Qur'an that such a verse managed to pop up in your day? The best way to avoid having Qur'anic verses pop up in your day (this is advice for anyone who seeks to avoid the Qur'anic verses) is to not read the Qur'an, not keep one nearby (in case it just opens up by itself or a curious desire overtakes someone), and avoid religious websites as well, since it has a penchant for popping up at such places also.

The Qur'an is written or corresponds to everything that happens to regular people during the day, but most people won't notice, so can go about reading life/the Qur'an of every day experience without noticing or realizing they are being Lectured (The Qur'an means Lecture or Recital) by The Reality every moment.

It was an entertaining film. Why should Allah send some people astray?
Probably because it is un-true that Allah wills good for all people. It appears to me that Allah desires destruction for some, and good for others, otherwise why would so many people be suffering through so much and also be so corrupt and confused if God was helping them really? It seems that God has bad intentions or malicious intent towards some, and others God prefers or benefits, which makes God not neutral but particular and with generated tastes and preferences for the things created in this world and its contrasts.
