It would be in your best interest to begin showing me respect from now on, so that I have mercy on you, and take you under my wing. You can't beat me in debates. It's not even worth you trying.
Did you work on this act or are you like this to people you know as well?

It makes me wonder.
But at least you got the offer being taken under his wing. With me, at one point he was convinced I switched sides and became a Conservative.
I don't think I got the shades of patronizing though.

To you, I offer the keys to my heart. :heartarrow:

I'm not sure what you assume an "unsubstantiated opinion" actually is by definition. My understanding is that it's a conclusion based on an array of personal perspectives, typically from previous feelings or thoughts stored within our minds from prior experiences and environmental observations...

Your understanding and conclusions are incorrect. An "unsubstantiated opinion" is just that - an opinion that is unsupported.

o·pin·ion
/əˈpinyən/
noun
a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
People often give unsupported opinions when they have nothing to support their opinions.

I prefer a debate where people exchange ideas equally, where one person is not constantly asking questions of another

We are all quite certain that you would prefer a "debate" where you don't have to substantiate your opinions.

If you provided evidence to substantiate your comments, no one would have to be "constantly asking questions" of you.

That's the problem when someone comes into a debate in order to "win".

I'm familiar with many debate methods, it's not my first rodeo... The more questions you ask, the more opportunities you get to critique... It keeps you always on the offense and me always on the defense.

I prefer a debate where people exchange ideas equally, where one person is not constantly asking questions of another and then complaining when the other doesn't want to play along.
Exchanging ideas equally would entail answering a couple of questions, in the very least, to clarify positions and arguments, definitions, etc.
However, you are extremely evasive when questions are posed to you.
Are you sure you "prefer a debate where people exchange ideas equally?"

I no longer answer questions as a personal policy.
