Who are the Proud Boys? Start here.

Do they have rules limiting masturbation and viewing pornography because sexual frustration makes them angrier, and therefore even Prouder Boys?

When I see angry right wingers, I automatically assume they are not getting laid and are not happy about it. It just fits.

you do realise that the symbol of the Proud Boys is a cock,
Ahem, ... there are cocks and there are cocks. The cock you are referring to is:

I don't know that these things are comparable... I don't know that I really trust the perceptions of others well enough to form judgements for me.

...I'd have to meet some Proud Boys first, for myself, before I can make a judgement call.
They might actually be a group of good, open-minded dads and schoolteachers for all we know, who only seek to denounce violence and destruction by the radical left.
Have you personally met any people on "the radical left", @Cooky ?

Sure Cooky. Whatever you say. Did you bother to do any research on them before you posted "a group of good, open-minded dads and schoolteachers"?

Proud Boys: Who Are They? – Proud Boy Magazine

More from their website...
I think back to a time, a more pleasant time, a more wholesome time when people of a certain mental persuasion would be locked up and kept hidden away from the functioning world where they couldn’t poison society’s water with their dysfunctional views, thus turning the frigging liberals gay. Some of the more unruly residents of the asylums would be lobotomised in order for them to become more obedient. In an era where the insane are allowed to run rampant like an Ann Summers dildo, where is the mass lobotomisation of the far left?

If this were to come to fruition, what would the endgame be? If you think about it, whole organisations like Antifa could be transformed into docile slaves ready to serve the sane and proud world. This could not be considered inhumane as they already live as slaves; they just serve the wrong masters. The modern slave is not bound by race or religion, they would be achieving everything they ever wanted, a multi-ethnic society of dribbling spastics working together to make the world more prosperous for us proud westerners.
There's a lot more. But just this part shows they are ultra-homophobes who want to enslave gays.

Oh, wait. Perhaps I shouldn't be taking their own words literally. Right, Cooky?

In my case, you are mistaking statements of fact for accusations.
I haven't commented on your posts, and you may have me mixed with another poster. Not sure what's happening, there.

But sure, let's entertain the notion that you can never tell whether anybody is a Nazi until they've murdered at least 10 million people while flying Swastikah flags and goosestepping in brown uniforms. What exactly does that bring to the conversation other than "well those guys are not literally Hitler yet"?
A Nazi, for historically practical purposes believes in strengthening the strong and eliminating the weak for the purpose of improving life for the survivors. They need not even be fascist. It is this evil to which I refer. Even so I don't call someone a Nazi unless they claim it for themselves. Its too loaded a word, and I think you can create Nazis just by calling people this. Some people attach themselves to emotional labels because they have a hypnotic draw. Better to call someone some other flashy name and get them involved in some other movement that will benefit them more. If these guys want to call themselves Proud Boys then that's actually better than Nazi, and as long as they don't believe in Nazi principles they are far better than Nazis.

Anyone else that says Antifa is an idea, or is it only the director saying that with Biden singing in concert that Antifa is just an idea?
Antifa is decentralized. It has no organization or leadership. Any random person can declare themselves "antifa". And as has been repeatedly stated, the vast majority on the left condemn looting, vandalism, rioting, violence, etc. Of course the right likes to create false narratives to spoonfeed to the choir.

Isn't bearing false witness a sin? Aren't you worried about eternal damnation?
The "Proud Boys" have criminal records with multiple law enforcement agencies. Now you have two opposing sets of boots and you can't lick both.

Trump Tries to Step Out of the Proud Boys Mess He Created
Asked by CNN host John Berman what the president meant by asking the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by,” the Trump flack replied that the president “wants them to get out of the way” and “not do the things they say they want to do.”
That's more than a stretch. Why do Trump's people always have to "clarify" his comments?

Hours later on MSNBC, Trump senior campaign adviser Jason Miller gave his interpretation of what Trump meant with his “stand by” message to the far-right group. Asked by host Chuck Todd what the president wants the group to do following his message, Miller claimed Trump was calling for extremist groups to “stand by the wayside and get out of the way” of law enforcement.
So, stand by means get out of the way. That's a new one. Why do Trump's people always have to "clarify" his comments?

The Proud Boys celebrated Trump’s remarks on Tuesday night, seeing Trump’s refusal to denounce them as a sign of his support. The group redesigned their logo on Tuesday night to incorporate “stand back, stand by” as a new slogan.
Honesty from the mouths of the horses.

Others went further. Joe Biggs, a prominent Proud Boy who has worn shirts declaring “I’m Just Here for the Violence” and celebrating the executions of left-wing Chilean activists thrown from helicopters, posted that Trump’s remarks were permission to “go **** them up.”

“Trump basically said to go **** them up!” Biggs wrote on Parler, a social media network popular with conservatives. “This makes me so happy.”
And more...
Extremist groups like the Proud Boys saw Trump’s debate remarks as a “green light,” according to Lindsay Schubiner, a program director at the left-leaning Western States Center, which tracks the Proud Boys and other far-right groups.
The ProudBoys didn't need any clarifications.
Yes, useful analysis, even with some new details not yet predictable from the great BBC video.

The whole sordid affair summed up here...

Biden can't even provide a name of a specific group that is behind the proud boys and is equally dismissive at recognizing Antifa as nothing more than an idea.

And people here are accusing Trump of things when Biden is just as bad himself?

I would surmise the late Mr.Byrd taught Biden well in the art of dismissivness and hypocrisy.
Suspecting evil hidden plans/tricks of others is built into the human brain. It's a survival adantage to be vigilant and detect attacks early...

But the natural brain function, stronger in some people than others, can be too strong, of course, as it's very often, mostly the situation instead --

Usually there is no evil plan, and most bad actions we see turn out to be just pure incompetence or ignorance instead of intentional.

Few bad actors are actually evil plotters.... The amusing or tragic reality is instead they are just incompetent or ignorant -- Not the sharpest tools in the shed.

I've seen Trump over and over in the 1990s while I stayed in NYCity many months altogether during the decade, and Trump always was managing to make the local news...

If you watched local news on a given evening, it would be surprising back then for Trump not to be in the news segment.

Trump will do whatever it takes to grab attention.

He's a gifted salesman.

He's good at invention -- narratives/appearances. (fake stuff actually(!))

And that's why Trump accuses others of fake news -- it's a psychological transference/compensation: Trump accuses others of being fake because, and only because he himself is faking things constantly.

And we all saw more of Trump during 2000s and 2010s.

What do we see?

A clear tendency to going too far into paranoid or conspiracy explanations, and/or using such to grab more attention.

So, when Trump says something...well, hold on to your wallet!
