Who are the Proud Boys? Start here.

So if someone defended Stalin you would defend Hitler since the two were enemies? That's some stupid-*** logic.

I don't know that these things are comparable... I don't know that I really trust the perceptions of others well enough to form judgements for me.

...I'd have to meet some Proud Boys first, for myself, before I can make a judgement call.

So you've met some antifa before you made a judgement call?

I don't like antifa; I oppose violence, vandalism, theft, etc.
I place my principles before partisanship. It seems that most on the right however have tossed their moral compass into the trash, only to fish it out to use as a political prop.

But this thread is based on perceptions of the Proud Boys. Here, you seem to take issue if someone doesn't hate them based on what partisan people say. And when I defend my position you seem to try and paint me as a hypocrite.

You shouldn't talk about the Proud Boys like that..!
Yeah, that's why I do it!

It happens to be true that I really did think they must be gay when I first heard of them - and it has the fabulous bonus of being the sort of thing they themselves would hate to be associated with.

Perfect, really. :D

Here's another picture of the sort of thing (I nearly wrote thong) I thought they must be:

As a somewhat funny aside, the Proud Boys are also known for their anti-porn, anti-masturbation stance. Members are not permitted to watch porn and must agree not to masturbate more than once a month. :tearsofjoy:

New Proud Boy Rules: Less Fighting, Less Wanking
Oh but you can imagine after a few weeks of this they may be finding themselves........ strangely drawn to men in tight, tight shorts. Pervy!

I am now reminded of the "Black Shorts", led by Roderick Spode, in P G Wodehouse's Jeeves stories. These were obviously a joke at the expense of Oswald Mosley's Black Shirts - a notorious feature of 1930s England. Wodehouse claims the Black Shorts were so named because all the shirts had run out by the time they were formed. But there clearly is a subtle homo-erotic innuendo to them. Roderick Spode himself, though ostensibly very fierce and tough, earned a living from a ladies underwear shop on Bond St. Sweetie.

Anyway, we can have a lot of fun at the expense of the Proud Boys - one way or another - if you see what I mean...... :D

That's rather random and bizarre. Any reasoning given?

I remember reading about it before, I think because they say it drains you of your masculine energy or something like that? Don't quote me, but it was some weird pseudoscientific reasoning as I recall.

What, I've seen people here and in mainstream media defend Antifa... If they can do that then I can do this.
An·ti·fa
/ˈan(t)ēˌfä,ˌanˈtēfə/

noun
  1. a political protest movement comprising autonomous groups affiliated by their militant opposition to fascism and other forms of extreme right-wing ideology.

Hmm. People opposing Facism and other forms of extreme right-wing ideology. That sounds like my kind of people.

Does your opposition to Antifa mean you are a supporter of Fascism and other forms of extreme right-wing ideology?
