Trump presidential debate

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Even I admit Trump interruptions were way overboard. Biden should be allowed to say his piece without interruption. Chris Wallace really sucks at moderation.

We desperately need Judge Judy as replacement moderator. I think she is the only one in existence with any hope of keeping Trump in line.

Final verdict..

What a disaster.

What needs to happen is the moderator should be given a kill switch and if either person starts speaking out of turn, cut his mike immediately. And perhaps take two minutes from the one interrupting and give it to the other candidate. That would shut down the rude behavior pretty quickly.

I think the only possible solution for future debates is to simply turn of the other candidates microphone to let the other one speak uninterrupted.

Yup. You can't moderate a chronic bully. You can only kick them out of the pool so they go troll somewhere else.

I am so glad that the first presidential debate I watched was an actual debate rather than... whatever the hell that was.

LOL.....I literally just finished posting the exact same suggestion and then I scrolled up and saw your comment. Perhaps after the third interruption, they could start taking two minutes from the one interrupting and giving it to the other candidate. If you keep interrupting, you eventually won't have any time at all to speak. That should stop the crap.

I thought it was a debate though..? Not an interview session by a moderator.

Then why call it a debate, when it's actually a cross examination interview?

...The reality is that Biden forgets his train of thought when he gets interrupted. That's sad, but it's not Trump's fault.

Have you ever watched an actual presidential debate? Sorry, but I question whether or not you have the context to truly grasp how utterly bizarre that was and how useless it was for the American people. I remember the first presidential debate I watched had actual... I don't know... substantive policy discussions that revealed the candidates positions? An actual presidential debate where interruptions, while occasionally present, didn't derail the entire damned purpose of it? An actual debate where a modicum of civility was present on both sides?

Nothing my eye, Something for sure
Biden believes in what he's doing. By all appearances cares very much about America. He believes government is a force for change. Say what you want about that.

Trump is obviously a bad deal for everybody. And has nothing of a plan, and is a lousy person.

Biden proved that at the very least he is far beyond better than Trump.

I'm utterly sick of gasoline on the fire rage in the white house. I'm sick of climate change denial. The circus of trump must end. I think trump foolery show is finally going to be over. He thinks in terms of rabble rousing. Everything is conspiracy with him. He feeds ignorant rage. Trump is a long list of bad.

I suppose republicans think that capitalism can solve all problems if we leave big government out of it. This is a time to face gravely serious crises with hard decisions though. Capitalism needs law and order. Greed isn't going to change its ways and fix all our problems. The wealthy people don't care about the bottom half of America.

Dump trump.

Trump does not look out for the bottom 60% of Americans.

I'm just glad that when Wallace suggested him and Trump switch places, that Trump didn't take him up on that offer. With a little theater background on Trumps part, it could have thrown the whole "debate" into straight-up comedy skit. :)

...Aaaaahhh. The thought of what could have been...

Exactly. It's supposed to be a debate, which Trump was failing at with constant insults and interruptions. That's not a debate.
But we get it; you can't help but passionately slather his boots, so you have to try to defend him somehow.

How embarrassing.. He ran over the moderator cussed and swore and hey he was anything but fair. Trump is an embarrassment. He was a joke. He is obviously not going to accept election results unless he wins

They both were terrible, it was like two kindergarteners yelling at each other on the Playground. I don't understand how the 2 major parties with 50 percent of the citizens part of their groups can only produce that. It is rather depressing. I want a Presidential Candidate as least as good as me in debate and preferably better than me.

Yeah, to go along with the playground rumble theme, what's up with Trump telling the Proud Boys to "stand by, someone needs to take care of antifa?" What happened to his "law and order" mantra?

It's not so much me defending Trump as it is me not babying Biden.
So this actually is your first time watching a presidential debate? It has nothing to with "babying" and everything to do with maintaining the expected level of civility and professionalism. Debates are about presenting points and counter points, not who be the most obnoxious and disruptive child.
