Is God Capable of Experiencing Boredom?

Assuming a god exists, is that god capable of experiencing boredom? I mean, of course, apart from the time it spends on RF.

I'd say no. I'm not sure if the noise of all our nonsense keeps him up all night, or wondering if we'll be able to figure our **** out enough to remain alive. Yeah, not much boredom. More wanting a damned day of rest, like all of us. Sleepy Joe, wear are you?

LIke a broken record... God manifesting in a human with human limitations can of course be bored.

Am I getting bored posting variations on the same answer?

God already rested for one day and He has absolutely no excuse for taking any more days off. :D

What did God do on the 7th Day?
2 And on the seventh day God finished His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it; because that in it He rested from all His work which God in creating had made.

Probably not. Above such things I would suppose. Although I swear in Greco-Roman mythology, half the stories occurred specifically because the gods were bored lol (or Zeus was horny, lets be real.)

Nothing my eye, Something for sure
I would suppose the more knowledge one has, the more things there are to do. Plus God could always create more knowledge because nothing is impossible for God, and God would know how to do that.

But just maybe God is so bored with the heavenlies that God created our puny planet to see how much adversity we could overcome to get back to heaven. Absence of all things is appreciation for all things!

Seriously though knowledge creates creativity. So knowledge is never-ending.

Either that or eternal infinity really does get boring after a few googleplex ions of it.

Yes but some philosophers claimed all those stories were inventions of poets and they believed the gods were above such things. This is why Greek and Roman philosophers valued many of the virtues their gods seemed to disregard.

I don't know. There was one time the prophet Isaiah asked a certain king why he was "wearying" God. Probably a rhetorical question ...

Yeah, that’s true.
I choose to interpret the Greek myths as people simply projecting their flaws into deities. A cathartic look at an indifferent cruel world, perhaps. Or maybe I’m projecting, I mean they’re entertaining if nothing else

If this is the omnipotent god, then yes. God can do anything. That is what omnipotence means.

Yes, not only boredom but also not knowing where it came from. I think it is in deep depression or maybe even embarrassment at all the conceptualization of said God,
This creation hymn puts in perspective,

1. THEN was not non-existent nor existent: there was no realm of air, no sky beyond it.
What covered in, and where? and what gave shelter? Was water there, unfathomed depth of water?
2 Death was not then, nor was there aught immortal: no sign was there, the day's and night's divider.
That One Thing, breathless, breathed by its own nature: apart from it was nothing whatsoever.
3 Darkness there was: at first concealed in darkness this All was indiscriminated chaos.
All that existed then was void and form less: by the great power of Warmth was born that Unit.
4 Thereafter rose Desire in the beginning, Desire, the primal seed and germ of Spirit.
Sages who searched with their heart's thought discovered the existent's kinship in the non-existent.
5 Transversely was their severing line extended: what was above it then, and what below it?
There were begetters, there were mighty forces, free action here and energy up yonder
6 Who verily knows and who can here declare it, whence it was born and whence comes this creation?
The Gods are later than this world's production. Who knows then whence it first came into being?
7 He, the first origin of this creation, whether he formed it all or did not form it,
Whose eye controls this world in highest heaven, he verily knows it, or perhaps he knows not.

After hearing billions of time per day the same thing, something like "Thy Will be done"? I don't know. I would be. Of course, I will implement my will, who do they think I am, and why do the pray for something so boringly obvious?

The non-believers are quite capable of doing God's work in this area - given that we have to endure so much from the believing fraternity. :weary:

It depends on what qualities or attributes, if any, one chooses to assign to their god.
