I'd really want to know the 'why' and be most interested in that.

If 100% of all followers did it, I'd think they either followed a fad, or they became truly enlightened toward another path.

Seems like you trust the strength of number of people, rather trusting the script of your religion

It comes down to an old saying: "If everyone walked off a cliff, would you do it too?" Though the meaning might be a bit more broad than that, can probably be changed to say "If everyone walks an unknown path, would you do it feet first too to whatever perils?"

I would take my stand alone as anyone whose belief/faith is solid would do.
(I write from the time when I was a firm believer).

I see I worded it confusingly, what I meant was:

I'm not changing anything without knowing more about the 'why'.

Otherwise I'll just go with the default and not change a thing.

So I guess if no explanation is given, and I can't determine the 'why' - there is no decision making process because it's not really much of a decision to just do what you normally would.

I don't belong to any religion but I have lost almost everything I once had in this world because I speak for our CREATOR. Most of my family, old friends and the false gods I used to own no longer are involved with ME. They think I have lost my MIND but in fact, my MIND is secured for eternity now.
