Any bad experiences with the inverted pentacle?

All paths led me to "worshipping" (if that's the right word) my higher self and as it was always difficult for me to get results, I ended up with Kali and Shiva; since those masters are a very good (indirect) way to connect to the female and male aspects of the true self. And in the Left Hand Path, since I don't want the kind of enlightenment that most people want; where they believe they lose individuality and become the whole Universe; "we're all one", etc.

Now Kali and Shiva are very good to me; but I felt there was someone continously attacking me and I had to call Kali again and again to ward it off. It was a bad feeling in my belly; as if someone would be threatening me with the tip of a spear in two points, to the right and left of my navel. I'm still not sure if the thing was completely spiritual/mental or if it could be also because of a crushed intervertebral disc. But if it's just because of a disk, then Kali does a good job temporarily healing it.

Anyway, I had put an inverted pentacle as a symbol of the LHP on my altar. In part because of a dream I had years ago where I told Saint Mary I wanted to tread a Left Hand Path and she told me the best one was the path of Kali, then she showed me a black inverted pentacle I had to put on my altar.

The problem is, the inverted pentacle makes me feel insecure; I feel it's a symbol of being ruled by the elements, instead of my spirit ruling them. Maybe it angers elementals so they come to attack me.

Now I got that symbol out of my altar and I'm feeling much better. In fact I'm feeling even better with the upright pentacle. Did any of you in the LHP ever feel a bad vibe with the inverted pentacle?

I think I'll just leave a drawing of a left hand on my altar as a symbol of the LHP.

To me the only difference between upright and down-pointing pentagrams is where you're standing, but I digress. :D

When it comes to symbols of meaning sometimes it's more helpful to create sigils which directly represent a concept to you, thus they're unburdened by the previous users metaphysical understandings and so on. Just a tip, but I've found that highly effective.

I believe I received a thought from Shiva about the inverted pentagram: "It means that you are recoursing to your inner sun instead of the external sun. That's why it's a symbol of the Left Hand Path."

Even if it's not a real message from Shiva and just my own thoughts, it makes sense.

That does make a lot of sense, regardless of where you got it from.

Strange; I've noticed a big difference between the encircled inverted pentagram (the pentacle), and the one without the circle. I can't stand the encircled one.
