VS.

Before I can address the rest of your post, you really need to make your mind up. You don't get to have it both ways.
Ummm.....its the difference between morality and culture.....you have a problem with the difference?

In my opinion, if the rape survivors of back then didn't see a problem marrying a rapist... then there is no reason for God to not order it.

See 2. Samuel 13:16. The rape survivor wanted to marry the rapist and her problem was that she couldn't. See 2 Samuel 13:19.

I said: prove that the women of back then would have preferred to not marry the rapist who raped her.
I provided a case in which a woman had a problem with not being able to marry the rapist she fell victim to.
Proof: the law right before that one.

Talking of morality....can you show me how today’s morality or lack of it, makes life today somehow superior?

The internet is full of child pornography and those who feed on it are actually taking children from their families and trafficking them to feed the appetites of more pedophiles. Is that freedom?

Children are growing up without knowing what a family is....there are no role models and a “father figure” is often Mom’s latest boyfriend. These kids grow up with a distorted view of how to be a mother or father. Like animals, they breed and move on....is that a good thing?

We live in a world where sexual morality is fast disappearing and we are reaping what we have sown. STD’s are rampant, but seen as inevitable these days....you seldom hear about them because they are an expected side effect of today’s ‘morality’. Antibiotics just make the bugs stronger, until there is nowhere to go to defeat them. Is this a good advocate for sexual freedom in your estimations?

Sorry, but I feel like a foreigner in this world, longing to go home....I believe that many so called freedoms are highly overrated.

Of course there is a difference. You're the one conflating the two, which is precisely why your perception and portrayal of god fails.

The internet is full of child pornography and those who feed on it are actually taking children from their families and trafficking them to feed the appetites of more pedophiles. Is that freedom?
But there's nothing immoral about child pornography, it's just today's culture, right?

The shrimp were subject to a very virulent form of bacteria that could kill you. It was a hygiene issue, which is why food was divided into "clean" and "unclean" categories.
They knew about quarantine too......I'm sure that if you saw what shrimp feed on, you'd never eat them.
No, you're wrong. That's not what "clean" and "unclean" means.

I'm sure that if you the fish that eat what shrimp eats, you would never eat them, eventhough they are "clean" animals that were allowed to eat.

Prove that ancient christians didn't enjoy being fed to lions.
I am supposed to prove that ancient Christians did not want physical death?
Acts 12:11 shows that Peter, one of the then leaders of the Christians, was happy to be saved from death.

I don't take part in gay bashing.
Of course they can have safe sex, too.

God has rules about sex that are as applicable today as they were when he first gave them.....he does not change. Marriage is a sanctioned relationship in which sex is always "safe" if one follows God's moral laws.

.....and telling the Bible's truth is not "gay bashing".....its just not something they want to hear....so they don't have to listen.

Putting yesterday’s cultural differences into today’s world...I guess you would consider it appalling...

Well, your god certainly didn't have any issues to invoke those "cultural differences" to command genocide and infanticide, and even flood the entire world killing literally everybody except for a handful of folks.

Yet, something as despicable as slavery, he though was a-okay and "let's accommodate".

..but it’s the 21st century and I guess today’s moral standards...or lack of them makes for a better world then....?

Wait, did you just imply that we see slavery as evil today due to a LACK of moral standards??????

Which in those days meant a roof over their head and food in their bellies...and laws to protect them. Is that somehow worse than being filthy and homeless on the street with hungry children?

How about you become their employer and provide shellter for them and actually pay them for their work without restricting their freedom, instead of becoming their "master" and treating them as you personal property that you can beat "as long as they don't die for a day or two"???

An all-powerful, benevolent entity couldn't come up with a better way to help the less fortunate other then ENSLAVING THEM????

ps: your logic is also flat out false. Non-hebrew slaves, as per exodus, could be purchased. This is pure slave trade. The handling of humans as if they were goods. These humans were prisoners of war and alike.

Read your bible.

Many forms of employment are actually worse, depending on where you live. Even in democratic countries like the US, people are pretty much slaves to their employers.

What a despicable and horrible thing to say. You spit on every human that has had to endure slavery with such nonsense statements.

No, employees are not like slaves.
Employees can do whatever they want in their free time.
Employees are paid for their services.
Employees are free to quit and walk away at any time.
Employers can not beat their employees.

Do you even think things through before you spew them out?

Most of their waking hours are spent making him money

Every minute at the job is spend making the company money, unless it is a non-profit organization. And for every minute at the job, they get paid as well.

Some barely make ends meet with three jobs. Is that a better system?

Well, while I could write a book about everything wrong with the american system - yes, even that is still better. As a slave, there is NO making ends meet at all, because you're not getting paid AND you are stripped from your rights and freedoms.

Does slavery fit in today’s world.....I still see it...don’t you?

There still is slavery in the world and it is despicable. But what you refer to, is not slavery.

Talking of morality....can you show me how today’s morality or lack of it, makes life today somehow superior?

Well.... women are no longer forced to marry their rapists and slavery is practically universally seen as despicable behavior. So even if we would assume that all the rest remained the same, that alone already makes up for a better world.

In reality, the list of how life is better today then back in barbaric times, is practically endless.
So let's flip the script... point us to a society or civilisation in the past where you think life was "better"; where YOU would prefer to live as opposed to today, in the comfort of the free secular society you likely reside in and where you are actually free to voice your despicable opinions in public.

The internet is full of child pornography and those who feed on it are actually taking children from their families and trafficking them to feed the appetites of more pedophiles. Is that freedom?

No. That's a crime and pedophiles are actively being hunted on. Ironically we can't say the same of christian catholics.... who in fact transfer pedophile priests and pastors to congregations around the world to avoid them being caught by the authorities.

Children are growing up without knowing what a family is....there are no role models and a “father figure” is often Mom’s latest boyfriend.

As opposed to back in the day, when life expectancy was around 30?
I also find it quite amusing how you talk about this as if it is the rule and stable family homes are the exception.

With freedom comes responsibility.
Ironically again, these things are most rampant in the US bible belt.

Sorry, but I feel like a foreigner in this world, longing to go home..

And that home, is where exactly? Medieval london?

..I believe that many so called freedoms are highly overrated.

I suggest you move to a country where such freedoms don't exist and then try and repeat that while still meaning it.

And biblical morality still has a place.

Not in the 21st century, it doesn't.

But there's nothing immoral about child pornography, it's just today's culture, right?

And what about Islam? Whenever Islam is criticised, we have people leap to its defense, assuring us that things like terrorism are just part of its culture, and we mustn't hold our Western morality against the different culture of Islam. Did you know that they have slavery today?

Slavery in 21st-century Islamism - Wikipedia
Islam and slavery - Wikipedia

Either morality is the same as culture (in which case, we excuse the West for its failings, as well as Islam) or just because a culture says something is moral doesn't make it moral (in which case, not only should we condemn Islam but the Western response to COVID and isolation of people who refuse to wear masks... hmmm alienation for not wearing facial coverings, where have I heard of that before? Oh right Islam, with its hijab laws). Either we forgive both, or we condemn both.

You cannot hold up one class of people as blameless when they still practice slavery, yet crucify another class who largely abolished slavery and insist they pay reparations.
Why isn’t BLM demanding that Muslims pay reparations for their long and sordid history of enslaving black people, that continues even to this day?

Read your bible. An entire chapter is dedicated to the condoning and regulation of slavery.

Slaves don't get paid.

Slaves do get paid. The closest facsimile of slavery we have today (outside the backwater countries) is called internship. Yet interns usually receive not even room and board, yet these things were a given to black slaves in America.
