End Times Prophecy.
Before that we go to after dead, let's see how life was created.

What is Man Exactly? How Was he Created by God?

Genesis 2:7 (NKJV) ... 'And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.'
Genesis 2:7 (KJV) ... 'And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.'
As we can see here, a "living being" and a "living soul" are the same exact thing. Also, in this very verse is the entire equation of life. And did you notice the word "became", instead of "was given"? VERY important point! So let's look at the equation of life:
Dust of the ground (body) +
The breath of life (Spirit) =
Living being (Soul/Man)

Now doesn't that make a lot of sense? The problem is that this Bible truth already conflicts with the modern theory that person has a SEPARATE, IMMORTAL spirit/or soul/or both inside of him. We see that man before coming to life was merely dust of the ground - a breathless, lifeless body. It was the breath of life from God that brought Adam to life, making him a living soul. That's the important point to gain from this. Adam BECAME a living soul with the breath (Spirit) of God inside of Him.
And the same will happen when we die.

About after life, just write in your Bible online (eternal life)
Read Revelation.
Read about the rich and the poor man.

Yes, I do believe in life after death. No, I don't know what I believe about it. This is because I believe the afterlife is largely subjective (so a mix of what you want and what you desire becomes what is so).

You forgot to answer my question. What does "leaving the body" even mean, considering you ARE your body?

Okay, here I would like to give you an experiment.

Look at the picture of my avatar which is right in front of you. Close your eyes for a while. Still you can see same picture on the screen of your brain.

If you are your body, then who is viewing the picture on screen of your brain when your physical eyes are closed ?

It's called "thinking" and "visualizing".

What? Me worry?
Forgive my skepticism, but considering that cold reading is a fairly common skill and that the energy that is me is electro-chemical, it cannot continues after my death. The only thing of me that will remain after my death and for as long as the universe continues to roll as it does is the matter composing my body.

How do you know?

But, who is viewing ?

There is no viewing.
There is thinking and internal visualising from memory.

Or from imagination.
I can close my eyes right now and imagine the face of someone I have never seen before.
Brains can do that. Again, it's called thinking.

You do understand that women with that "gift" were put to death in Israel? (Deuteronomy 18:9-12) Because, these are not spirits of the dead, but demonic spirits impersonating them. These demons have been around humans since the beginning and know all there is to know about everyone. They are con artists IMO who are trying to perpetuate the first lie that satan told in Eden ("you surely will not die").

Your partner may not even be aware that these spirits are having a lend of her. :(

You really don't know what you're talking about here. Everything that she does (and she doesn't do it that often) helps a grieving family cope. It that's demonic, then so be it. BTW, people were also persecuted at one time for stating the earth revolves around the sun...just sayin'.

I agree with everything you said except that I believe that the messages that are coming through are coming from souls (spirits) who have passed on to the spiritual world and I believe that the soul is not just energy, it is the person that was/is you. By contrast, the physical body is just a temporary vehicle used by the soul to carry it around and allow the soul to express itself while we are alive on earth.

You may be right. She really can't define what she experiences, and I just call them 'energies' or 'entities'. She does say that it's not like talking to someone in person.

Then, in all seriousness, why bother living at all?
I'm sorry, but it's hard for me to take the question seriously.

Have you truly never done something that you felt was worthwhile? Have you never ...
  • vacationed with a spouse
  • taught a child
  • hugged a grandchild
  • read a good book
  • wandered through a great museum
  • listened to Vivaldi
  • watched Giselle
  • applauded Shakespeare
  • sat in a Spring garden
  • body surfed in the Pacific
  • mastered some programming challenge
  • enjoyed wine and cheese
  • shared a meal with a friend
  • stood for something you believed in
  • ... ?

Emotions, just like thinking and consciousness are a function of the brain. It is even known what specific region of the brain is dealing with emotions, the Amygdala.

Temporal love as well. They study many who have NDE have temporal love issues. That or heart issues. Cardiac arrest. Seems to be a pattern.

Which part of human body made this discovery ?

The cause, process, and result are the brain, brain/psych, and brain controls the body. Our sense f self and personality are in part created by (not a result from) the brain.

The brain "sees", feels, nothing. Just a bunch of impulses We interpret. We as in humans not a spirit that determines what the brain creates.

Maybe 'cause then it's all you have? Why wouldn't I want to continue the experience when I expect "no experience" is what is waiting around the corner? The way you ask, it makes it sound as if you're just living this life so that you can get to "the next." The real problem is... you can't really know that there is, definitively, a "next" at all, can you? I know I can't. Which is why I will continue to live this life... the only one I know I am guaranteed.

Seriously?
Have you never...(list)

*had a loved one die in your arms
*suffered a horrible disease
*wondered where your next meal would come from
*had two flat tires and one spare
*had part of your life taken from you
*failed a course
*had your heart broken
*missed a plane

....the list could go on and on.

Even with your feeble attempt to put some meaning to life with a completely subjective list, it still begs the question, "then what"?

How do I know what precisely?

That there is nothing after this plane of awareness. You seem to know there's not, how do you know there isn't?

My sense of awereness comes from the analysis by my brain of signals transmitted by a variety of nerves situated in a variety of organs which gives me my senses. My consicousness is also self referential. Thus, without my brain, none of those things can happen. When you die, all this activity stops. You can have a consciousness after you die to the same extand you can run a marathon just like a living peson after your death. We can't even say it's possible for any creature, let alone us after our death, to have a consiousness, but no functionning brain. At the moment this idea is pure fiction and even runs contrary to everything we know about mind and the brain.
