'Qatari sociologist blames plastic surgery, blasphemy, homosexuals for Beirut blast in expletive-filled online rant

  • Qatari sociologist shouts and swears as he blames the Lebanese people for the blast
  • Claims unmarried women, plastic surgery angered Allah
DUBAI: A Qatari sociologist has blamed blasphemy and plastic surgery for the deadly Beirut blast that wiped out the entire port area of the city and killed more than 200 people.

In a video that has been widely shared across social media, Abd Al-Aziz Khazraj Al-Ansari begins his rant declaring “this is a message to our people in Lebanon,” before making claims that the Aug. 4, 2020 explosion was due to un-Islamic behaviour by the Lebanese.

“You all have attacked the law decreed by Allah for the world,” he added.

He said that Lebanese people were cursed when they travelled to the UK, US and France.'

Every village needs its idiot.

PS: the man can't be a sociologist. Only women can major in sociology in Qatar though men can have it as a minor during their studies. Having sociology as a minor doesn't make you a sociologist. By our standards, nobody trained and educated exclusively in Qatar can claim to have access to enough education in sociology to qualify as a sociologist.

That Allah guy is easily angered by the most innocent things.
And he lashes out with great fury. I'll keep my distance from him.

Yes, Blame. It's one of the petty things mankind holds so dear. Look at him point that finger and condemn everyone.

Is blame more important than solving the real problem? It seems so to him.

Ignore physics and given enough time, a lesson will show up at the door. The real lesson is about Physics.

Problems never go away until they are solved. Let us hope they have learned this never has to happen again.

Of course, this is also a case of everybody wants to rule the world. It is being used as an excuse to scare and intimidate people into following that religion. Sad. God does not work that way, however mankind does.

Let's hope the lesson has been learned. If they choose to do the same thing in another warehouse, it's just a matter of time. It will all happen again regardless of those religions or beliefs.

That's what I see. It's very clear!!

That sounds extremely odd. Do you have a source for this?

I suppose it's possible he got his credentials in sociology elsewhere, although I agree that it seems unlikely given the ridiculously unscientific sounding claims he makes.

What's worse is that not a single person there can legally say he's wrong. Cause he invoked Allah first, so any criticism must obviously be apostasy! Punishable by death!

Human rights in Qatar - Wikipedia

Apostasy is a crime punishable by the death penalty in Qatar.[16

In what way is this guy important?
I remember someone attributing 9/11 to homosexuality and abortion, Jerry Falwell I think.

He has already understood the problem. Now he's telling them how to try and fix it.

Do you believe that the Beirut blast was an act of God's punishment towards Muslims for not being tougher on homosexuality, plastic surgery and blasphemy?

I didn't see him being wrong. Was there something he said you think is not according to sharia? I don't know much about Sharia. Maybe you can teach me something.

I'm sure you can't be upset about him advising the people in a religious manner. It would be like judging a Canadian minister for advising people in an irreligious manner.

I don't know. Those were not all the problems he mentioned though.

I'm not Muslim, so my opinion of sharia doesn't matter. But surely this man's interpretation is not the only one. Surely there is freedom to come to one's own conclusion about what they believe the books say.

Or is this man's interpretation the gold standard for all Muslims? What would make it so?

Is it your own personal opinion that he's likely to be right?
I'm not asking about Scripture or your religious authority's opinions. I'm asking about yours. Do you think he is, or is likely, to be correct?

4:79 "Whatever good, (O man!) happens to thee, is from Allah; but whatever evil happens to thee, is from thy (own) soul. and We have sent thee as a messenger to (instruct) mankind. And enough is Allah for a witness."

But to pinpoint certain things he sees as the cause of evil, is his own opinion. Not from God, but from a man, who is not a prophet.

...So maybe someone could disagree and blame it on something else.
