I am wondering if it just a coincidence that a few days before this announcement, it was announced that the UAE helped unite a Yemenite Jewish child with his family.

You make a good point, I don't see the point of relating Israel/UAE relations anything to do with the Palistinians.
If the Israeli and Arab states were honest, many of the Arab states have been doing business with Israel for decades.
I remember being at the Allenby bridge(cross over point between Israel & Jordan) in the 1970s and saw piles of boxes(oranges) having their labels removed. When I asked what was going on I was told that they were being sent to Saudi.
