It's kind of a drag to think about how some of us have it all wrong regarding the truth of life's mysteries. At least if we're happy where we're at I guess that's all that matters but it's just funny to think about. Dang.....

The person most likely to have it 'all wrong' is the person most convinced they have it 'all right'.

Why do you think there's likely to be nothing wrong with that? Thinking you're right does not make you right. It makes you complacent.
The way I see those two ways of thinking is that each person fell off a different tree in life. Some ideas I have are right for me as well as literally right. Doesn't make me smug or uncritical but you're entitled to think that of one.

At the same time it's wrong to blatantly allow those individuals to be entirely wrong themselves, an evil vendetta is no better.

IF there is 1 truth for all, then probably "all but 1 or 2" have it wrong, because all have their own strong opinion (30.000 Christian denominations)

I believe the expression is: "as happy as a pig in stuff." The prodigal son figured out that his father had better digs for him.

I believe I could never be happy without the truth even if it hurts.

but if the truth hurts....
you're not going to be happy

how about?......you know the truth
but everyone is willing to lie to your face
just so you can feel better

Sorry, I don't follow. How can one know the truth of a mystery? Mysteries, by definition, are unknown, hidden, or secret.

That has nothing to do with Christians in particular. That applies of cases of the objective claim of X is Y versus X is not Y. That includes all worldviews, claims about science, some philosophical claims and a lot withing politics, morality and what not.
In general at least 90+% (if not 98+%) of all humans are wrong in some sense. And yes, that includes me, I am not that special.

Personally, I think it is pretty awesome to have unanswered questions. This leave us room for wonder and exploration, the things we human do so well.

What other animal looks up at the stars at night and thinks, 'Wow!'
