I have two ideas as to how homosexuality went down a long long time ago when scientific evidence on the subject becomes scarce.

The first is that it took place and no one was bothered by it.

The second is that it took place similar to how lions have a pride but also men were included and then overtime the lesser men started becoming resentful which lead to homophobia which turned into an ideology and ultimately 'homophobic' religions like Christianity.

Which idea do you think was more likely among the different groups in different areas of the world at that time?

I would say that homosexuality is a normal aspect of evolution, and that if it didn't offer some advantages to a species it wouldn't have survived evolution.

The first. Why should anyone be bothered by it?

And i have provided on another thread you created on the subject several scientific papers on the history of homosexuality.

Why do you think it was the first? I'm asking if people were bothered by it a long long long long time ago like 20 30 or 100 thousand years ago

Yeah It survived but you didn't answer the question

Okay well, I don't think either of the choices in the OP are very good ones, but I slightly prefer the first choice. But it's the best of a bad lot.

Because YOU labelled it the first.

The first

I don't see why they should be, not until the rise of organised religion was any taboo placed on homosexuality. It occurs through the natural world in different species without objection of other members of that species (although perhaps bonobos may get a little agitated if they can't join in). Why should human being be different?

Well when and how do you think homophobia began?

Ah, so is that the gist of the OP? Okay, well I would suspect that as soon as people got civilized enough to start worrying about disease prevention, they might have (mistakenly), pointed their fingers at homosexuals. Religions have often been the conveyors of the best safety measures of the day. While almost all of these religiously maintained safety measures have fallen as science has progressed, some have survived. Kosher and Halal believes for example, probably originated as safety measures. Unnecessarily cruel by today's standards, but the best they could do a couple of thousand years ago.

In other words, over the millennia, mankind has cooked up all sorts of silly superstitions and bad explanations in attempts to stay safe. I'd guess that homophobia was just one of those silly superstitions.
