To me, the 2nd birth is awakening to the spiritual path. Enlightenment is the real death of self.Is the 1st birth the physical birth? And the 2nd birth is spiritual? Enlightenment?
Doesn't that sound nice! A question, though: will I come out with or without my tonsils and gall-bladder? Will my spine surgery be reversed? What age will I be? I mean, I'd hate to be recreated in the shape I am now -- I'd much prefer some years ago.Birth means birth. Not understanding something or believing in something. Jesus was called the firstborn from the dead. Notice - from the dead. Jesus was in the tomb for three days just like a baby is in the womb for nine months. Jesus emerged from the tomb just as a baby emerges from the womb. The rest of humans will also emerge from their tombs when Jesus returns and gives them a new birth and new spiritual life.
Maybe you need religion to understand.Doesn't that sound nice! A question, though: will I come out with or without my tonsils and gall-bladder? Will my spine surgery be reversed? What age will I be? I mean, I'd hate to be recreated in the shape I am now -- I'd much prefer some years ago.
Another question -- what is "a new spiritual life?" What does one do in such a thing? I would imagine that 860 quadrillion-heptazillion years just singing praises to God could get a little tedious (after about the first 40 minutes), so is there anything else? Will anybody be making new movies to keep us entertained, or will it be the same thing on and on and on and on forever? And how are you looking forward to that?
But that would not be understanding, it would be believing. And it still isn't clear what that believing would mean. As I said, an eternity of praising anything doesn't seem very pleasant to me. Even with a harp.Maybe you need religion to understand.
Hopefully you will not have to suffer that terrible fate. But that would not be understanding, it would be believing. And it still isn't clear what that believing would mean. As I said, an eternity of praising anything doesn't seem very pleasant to me. Even with a harp.
My own feeling is that would be unkind of me to say that I hope you do.Hopefully you will not have to suffer that terrible fate.

You would last 40 minutes! I would not last more than 2 minutes. I prefer hell to that.I would imagine that 860 quadrillion-heptazillion years just singing praises to God could get a little tedious (after about the first 40 minutes), so is there anything else?
I sincerely desire that your wishes be fulfilled ASAP. Inter-galactic travel and preaching for your God not just in this world but beyond it.I can't wait to find out.
Its not all that far fetched for me.....it resonates with what I would love life to be.
