He's watching it snow. snow above her, snow below. that song by duran duran floods his mind. lost in a snow field sky. who do you love when you come undone. it was all they could do to not break down right there among total strangers.

I'd be very surprised if there were. Many scientific discoveries were completely unknown to the entire world before they were made... and revelations of that sort have come time and time again. Even religion has supposedly had its "revelations" over time - and a great many of them to boot.
If someone had it all figured out, I'd think they'd have come to certain knowledge first... but they didn't. Instead you have all of us, groping through the darkness and fog, stumbling upon a small light here or there. Maybe one day we can harness all the lighted bits together and cast a much larger light so that we might see a bit deeper into the fog.
