Choosing a Different Path

If you had to choose another religious (or non religious) path to follow, what would it be? Why?

If I had to choose a different path, I'd probably pick paganism. More specifically, Druidry or Norse Paganism. Those paths speak to me on a deeper level, and I love how they place a high level of respect and reverence for nature in general. The mythologies are fun as well. Earth based religions are definitely my cup of tea. :D

How about you folks?

With how I view religion... I can't do some other path. My religion is inseparable from who I am and my way of life. Doing some other path means not being me, and I can't be anyone other than me. That said, I change over time. So does my religion. But I can't be something I'm not or try to live inauthentically.

Hmmm, then maybe for you, what path do you respect or find interesting most from a distance? :D

Put this way, I find the path from which I came(general Paganism and Druidry) to still be terribly interesting, and I have nothing but the utmost respect for them. It was just my path changed, and I found the meaning which I had been searching for within another tradition.

I look at the paths once trodden as an important part of who I am, and I am most thankful to have walked them. Interestingly enough, I found more depth and joy within the practice I left once I found a way more suitable for me.

One of the teachings of the OBOD flavor of Druidry I really like is that it basically affirmed something I can't help but to do anyway - be constantly curious about everything around me and let the inspiration flow as it may. Put another way, I find pretty much everything interesting and worthy of respect so it's tough to single something out.

That said, let's go with an approach to paths: reconstructionism. There was a time I thought about taking that approach to developing my tradition, as I already have an academic bent and that's all but mandatory if you're doing a recon path. However, as I thought about it, treating my religion as a scholarly exercise really wasn't what I wanted out of it. It's why I went with OBOD instead of ADF, for example, when joining a Druid order. I have a lot of respect for that way of working and utilize some of it in my own path, but I don't see myself going full on reconstructionist any time soon. If I did, it would be Hellenism, not Celtic like one might expect (I'm not really a Celtic sort of Druid).

I'm already on a basically non-theistic/secular Buddhist path, so if I went theistic it would likely be something progressive and pan(en)theistic. Episcopalianism would be easy as I'm already familiar with the liturgy. Sufism is intriguing.

I like many aspects of Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam, but I could never be anything but a Baha'i. However, since all the major religions embrace the same spiritual truths I can find those in all the religions and I take what I like from all the religions.

From what little I have read about Druidry it is a really cool religion  and like you I have a great respect and reverence for nature. But I am kind of stuck with the Abrahamic God since I believe in Him, even though He and I do not always see eye to eye.

Well, you're free to choose anything at all! We all know the obvious choice is Sigurdianism though, right?... Right? :D
Never heard of it.
And based on the spelling (which I would never get correct without copying it) there is no way I could choose it.

So I choose ...
All of them

Better safe than sorry

I can offer for many people this could not happen, as their Faith is life, death is to be without that Faith.

Also I never have had to, nor am I in a position where I will have to choose any other Faith.

Now if you are suggesting another faith was to be forced upon us as the 'had or have to' reason, that choosing is a matter of life or death, then I am still in a position where I would not choose another faith.

The only choice for me in this age is Baha'u'llah and then continue to try to be a Baha'i.
