Its' FOLK today (Wednesday

Recorded this today.. A really rough take on the traditional song 'the house carpenter.' But I think it turned out crappy.. I really love folk music, but the songs are so long that I run out of ideas when I try to record them.. Shortening them however, almost seems like it would be sacrilege.. The temptation of adding a lot of accompaniment is always questionable as well, as the style is often done is acappela

Well you have an advantage over me, in being able to play a musical instrument and sing. :D I think I know this song from Pentangle, and the singing of Jacqui McShee. :musicnotes: One of my regrets, not being persistent enough to learn an instrument - tried a few - guitar, electronic keyboard, and tin whistles, all to no avail.

That's not a rabbit hole I want to go down. For instance:

Heavy metal genres - Wikipedia

o_O

I think I'll pass on that - not being too enthusiastic for Metal and associated - if Led Zeppelin and VDGG can be excluded. :D But I suppose a few examples of any genre left (lots of course) might be appreciated by some - but probably not by me - although I might give such a listen. (If I'm tied to a chair and I am forced to listen to it)

Music genres are a bit like religions?
