If there are aliens out there with greater technology than us then we probably would've heard from them by now. Alien species with greater technology would've also found other planets with lesser life as well and informed us about that too. If there's planets out there with lesser lifeforms why didn't evolution take place like it did here providing they've been around for billions of years? Perhaps the lesser lifeforms just started to exist yesterday. In that case I guess it could be possible however unlikely. Also, the chances that there's another earth like planet with humans is slim. So this only goes to show that our planet is the only one with life.

You seem to know a lot about the universe.
For starters, your first sentence: no it isn't.

Why? What are you basing that claim on? What makes you think that 1) Aliens with advanced technology would probably have discovered us by now or 2) That if they are aware that we're here that they'd have any desire to make contact with us?

If there are aliens out there who are hundreds of thousands or millions or tens of millions of years ahead of us...

Why exactly would we expect to "have heard from them by now?" What would we have that would be of any interest to them? Our wisdom? Our knowledge? Our resources?

They would have plenty of that from other places and experiences...

Our environment? It's highly unlikely that the biology of another world would find our environment pleasant...and they could probably create entire worlds to order without having to try to convert an existing one...

As for the idea that they'd want to enlighten us about all the wonderful things they know...Why would they want to do that?

The speed of light limitations is a bummer for those aliens that live 10 billion light years away.

"Hello! Please hear the good news about Our Lord Cthulhu?"

I am guessing they would be to advanced to consider the god idea more than a passing whim of children, so technically they be atheist.

But i can see several RFers trying to sell them their god.

It's hard to say. If there are aliens with greater technology than us, they might still be too far away to actually travel here. Space is pretty big, after all.

And even if they were close enough, it's possible that they've picked up our radio, TV, and satellite transmissions and decided that we were too primitive and crazy to pay a visit.

Actually, what probably happened was that the aliens were planning to make a visit, but then they decided to look at the internet. They must have logged on to RF and saw @Revoltingest's posts and decided "No way are we going to this planet!"

I agree, and if they do have greater tech then at least they are not scared of us enough to attack. That would be dangerous to have a powerful foe afraid of us like that...like afraid that we might become dangerous later on...like the gods in the tower of babel story.

Alien species with greater technology would've also found other planets with lesser life as well and informed us about that too.
Almost certainly. Point us at resources. Its a great diplomatic gesture. We would return the favor.

Actually a lot of people post about this, and it has a famous name called "Fermi's Paradox." The paradox is roughly as you describe.

Well...some sort of a radio signal or blinkly-blink signal. Of course its entirely possible that they are as solar-system bound as we are, but if their technology were so awesome then I think we would have heard at least something....unless they were avoiding us.

They would have plenty of that from other places and experiences...

Oh, they would not find our biology pleasant. We are bags of microbes, and we could easily be deadly to them or them to us.

They'd want to enlighten us, because they'd be Buddhists.
