Well for one they are not killed as often by religious bigots

Yes, they are much better now and we are richer (in all sense of the term) and happier for it. Now, we only need to get rid of religious fanatics and their bigoted ways and we will be even richer and happier.

I'd imagine less fearful.
I'm not LGBTQ so I can't talk for them but I'd imagine being less fearful allows a freer pursuit of happiness.

Your first question cannot be answered because it's fallacious due to being based on false presuppositions.
The answer to the second question is yes, they are better off due to having more rights, freedom, equality, and justice now than in the past.

All these supposedly moral high ground steppers behaving immorally whilst claiming their god supports their immorality is most disgusting.
But not the least bit surprising.
And to think, all that immorality to beat down the LGBT just to hav eit not work must be most embarrassing.
Assuming they are not so high on their horse they can even recognize it.

Yes I’m sure they are. I know people whose lives have been transformed for the better since the 1970s, due to the increased acceptance of homosexuality since that time.
Well known homosexuals in the 1960s and 70s, like Benjamin Britten and Kenneth Williams spent their whole lives riddled with guilt. It must have been appalling for them - even if we did get good music out of Britten as a result.
