Are the Trumps running the government, or selling beans?

Beans beans, the magical ethics violation.

Just when you thought they couldn't get any worse...

OR is it just another distraction tactic. One to get Dems focusing on the wrong thing?

I think it is intended as a distraction, but that does not mean we should completely ignore it.

To the Trump administration ethics are something to be mocked, violating them has no consequences. If this kind of thing is just ignored, they are proven right.

I am not saying the Dems need to go ballistic about this, or ignore other more serious issues. But this at least needs to be pointed out for what it is.

I've never been a fan of black beans, but I have to admit: putting a can in the hands of Ivanka Trump definitely enhances their "sex appeal". LOL! Is Ivanka's cameo appearance on behalf of Goya beans ethically wrong or shameless support for a company facing boycotters denouncing the CEO's blessing of Trump's business acumen? Hmmm, ... the photo setting could have been worse, I think. The Donald could have been holding the beans, in the White House, with the caption: "Black beans matter!" Now THAT would have been outrageous.

I am Goya
of the bare field, by the enemy’s beak gouged
till the craters of my eyes gape
I am grief

I am the tongue
of war, the embers of cities
on the snows of the year 1941
I am hunger

I am the gullet
of a woman hanged whose body like a bell
tolled over a blank square
I am Goya

O grapes of wrath!
I have hurled westward
the ashes of the uninvited guest!
and hammered stars into the unforgetting sky – like nails
I am Goya

I thought the goal was to clean the swamp rather than stock it with more swamp-things.

Corruption and nepotism are rampant in this administration.

It's hard to say. It could be also interpreted as satire, not a serious or deliberate intent to sell a product. That doesn't make it right, and I'm not sure how it will impact in the polls. But I don't think anyone is going to be charged with a crime over this.

I notice supporters of the orange clown often do this. When the Great Leader says something or does something that's absolutely inexcusable they claim he's just doing it to 'rile up the Democrats'... THEN they can complain that Democrats have an unnatural hatred of the president, whose primary goal appears to be to rile Democrats up.

Same pathetic song and dance as always.

Beans are good, especially black beans.

Ah well, these days of cancel culture.
