‘How Islam moderated slavery’: BBC blasted for piece explaining the ‘nice’ way to treat humans as property

For some years now, I have read several times that the BBC radio was a bias forum totally in favor of extreme leftist ideas. Brexit supporters claim they never received the same attention as others.
Now the BBC has gone overboard by portraying Islamic slavery as nice and humane. Even Islamic scholars jumped into the fire suggestion that the BBC has made a gross error it is judgement. Is it possible to have fun while being an Islamic slave?

.
But the essential nature of slavery remained the same under Islam, as elsewhere. It involved serious breaches of human rights and however well they were treated, the slaves still had restricted freedom; and, when the law was not obeyed, their lives could be very unpleasant.

The paradox
A poignant paradox of Islamic slavery is that the humanity of the various rules and customs that led to the freeing of slaves created a demand for new slaves that could only be supplied by war, forcing people into slavery or trading slaves.
That sounds nice? It makes them sound like they had a malicious thirst and endless appetite for slaves.

Things must be slow at the Kremlin.

This piece of Russian propaganda is raking over a BBC piece from 2009, eleven years ago. It's hardly hot news.

And the BBC story is accurate history. I know that's totally horrible to have accuracy in today's world, but such is life.

Since when has supporting slavery been a left wing idea? To the best of my knowledge, slave owners and their lackeys have always been inherently conservative.

I so doubt that this is true that I can't be bothered clicking a link.
So, I'll just ask.
Did the BBC actually say "Islamic slavery was nice and humane"? Or did they say something else, but you prefer your own version of events?

I read the entire article..something that most leftist will never do..and I found that it attempts to white wash the institution of slavery by pointing out exceptions to the life of some selective slaves, including the ownership of property, the limited access to basic human rights and in some clans the right to seek political office. But the article is clear, the prophet of peace was a slave owner who sold and used some female slaves for sexual purposes. He also gave guidance to his soldiers how to requisition capture women and how to transform them in to sex slavery. One important fact I learned, was that from the 7th century until the 20th century there was a heavily demanded eastern market for slaves an compared to the Atlantic Slave route from the 15th century till the mid 19th century.
If George Washington and Thomas Jefferson are targets of racism then the Prophet of Peace surly is fair game for equal treatment.

Yes.
And all forms of slavery are exactly the same, right?

How is that whitewashing? They're accurately providing detail and nuance, which the exact opposite. Whitewashing would be ignoring those details and putting out a generic "Muslims had slaves and slavery is bad!", which is what I suspect a lot of the people complaining wanted to see (whether they understand the reality or not).

It seems you have reading comprehension difficulties, as well as being a Russian stooge. :p

I doubt, in this thread, the OP will give details as to why he opposes the Islamic laws regarding slavery, any more than he did on the previous thread of his with the same topic.
