Although I eagerly look forward to the publication of Mary Trump's book, I don't really expect to be surprised by anything written in it, especially after reading Tony Schwartz's May 28th 2020 article: "The Psychopath in Chief".

The Psychopath in Chief

He could have been much worse. I still think Obama was worse, though he talked a better game. I didn't vote for him on his second term exactly for his distance from his talking points and actions. Trump doesn't have that problem most of the time, I respect that more even if I don't always agree.

It's okay to hate the POTUS but it's not okay to hate anyone.

It's not OK to hate anyone, it demoralizes people (most of all yourself), and leads you to inferior judgements and pseudo-facts. I don't even hate Obama and it's not like he hadn't given me enough reasons. The Presidency is a difficult type of job where sometimes there is no right answer, and the selection is the best of the worst options. Regardless, I keep some forgiveness in there, because people have the capacity to improve.

If I entered a golf tournament where everyone did not follow the official rules of golf then i would be at a disadvantage if I did.
If players who hit their ball out of bounds were taking mulligans, then why should I not take a mulligan?
If players who positioned their ball so that they could have a better shot, then why should I not be allowed to better position my ball?

It depends on who you are playing with. If you're playing with cheats, then cheating will help you.
If you know they are cheats, then perhaps you might not want to play with them at all.

Donald Trump is a cheat who entered the world of cheats.

I'll be sure to put that on my not reading list.
He now has a record in office.
Knowing about how his childhood made him who he is would
be about as useful as the ability to name all the Kardashians.

I don't hate the POTUS. I don't have to hate any humans to understand them and do differently that they do or tell to do.
The only reason someone would write an article bashing someone else is because they think themselves as superior to the one they bash.

We ALL fall short of the glory of God, and are ALL sinners. No one sinner is better than another sinner. Take a look in the mirror. Do you see a righteous person? If you were righteous on your own then you would not need God's righteousness imputed to you.

The world is more than just one universal same being righteous. Further I claim you know God, you are in fact being righteous in the name of God, because you just all sin as being equal. So you are doing, what you claim I do.
I have no access to God and I don't judge out humans in the name of God. That is your stick.

Are you really asking us to pretend not to notice your blatant double standard?

I know of no one rule for playing this game. I accept if you have other rules than me, but I still follow my rules. So do you in effect.
Now since this is about the US, I claim the first amendment and you keep your God out of it, then I will keep my God out of it and we will do "by and for the people" under God and the first amendment.
