Iran journalist who 'inspired' 2017 protests sentenced to death

‘Iranian journalist Ruhollah Zam, accused of inspiring mass anti-government protests in 2017, has been sentenced to death.

"The court has considered 13 counts of charges together as instances of 'corruption on earth' and therefore passed the death sentence," judiciary spokesman Gholamhossein Esmaili said on Tuesday.’

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I wouldn't be surprised if the sentence was commuted within the hour.
While I appreciate the optimism, I actually meant 'carried out', not 'commuted' within the hour. My bad although hope springs eternal.

It would be nice if political pressure would serve the latter, but this is Iran were talking about.

More proof people are better off under a godly government than a secular one.
I would say "people are better off under a Dharmic government than a secular one" (Dharmic government = Government acting righteous)
